Chapter 25

“What happen? Why is everybody running and screaming?” Aiba asked

“Somebody tried to kill him” Kaiyo mumbled

“And they miss?” Aiba asked

“Yep” Kaiyo said

“I don’t think so” Seungho said as they look at him

“What?”

They noticed blood was dripping from his body,

“The bullet got me instead” Seungho said as his eyes closed falling onto the ground as they screamed his name as the blood begin to flow out of his body.

“Kaiyo? Kaiyo?” a voice called out to her as she turns around zoning back to reality.

“Yeah?”

“Why are you dazing off again?” Aiba asked

“Nothing just thinking” Kaiyo said as she put the plate in the cabinet

“Are you still thinking about that incident?” Aiba asked

“You know, after what happen, I have been thinking a lot” Kaiyo said.

“It’s not your fault. This could have happen to anybody” Aiba said leaning on the doorway

“Yeah and it’s no coincidence it happen now. Because both Hideaki and me were there it happen to him.” Kaiyo said hanging up the towel.

“Don’t worry, it’s true it doesn’t happen all the time but hey 1 out of 100 gets shot randomly right?” Aiba said

“Yes but Seungho is a nice guy” Kaiyo said

“Yes he is and I will truly miss him…”Aiba said as he stop when he heard his name been called. “Hold on” Aiba said as they left the kitchen

“AIBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” Seungho screamed from his bed as Aiba walked in

“What?”

“I’m hungry” Seungho said

“You just ate 4 bowls of soup” Aiba said

“Well its soup you drink and pee I want physical food” Seungho said

“Well you have to wait” Aiba said

“My face is dry I need a wet towel” Seungho said as Aiba disappear and came back with a wet towel holding it in front of Seungho’s face

“Uh hello? I can’t wash my face, my arm is injured” Seungho said as Aiba glared at him. He then threw the wet towel on Seungho face as he wipes it. “Yah! Do it correctly!” Seungho complained as Aiba tried to smother Seungho’s face with it

“You know I really miss those days when he was in the hospital. I got a quiet, peaceful apartment” Aiba mumbled as Seungho struggle under the towel

When Aiba let go, Seungho glared at him as Aiba just smiled,

“Oops, my bad” Aiba said

“I have nine lives I tell you, they don’t want to take me yet cause I have a lot of things left to do” Seungho said

“Really? I thought you used up all your nine lives already?” Aiba asked as Seungho ignore that comment

“I’m thirsty, go down to the store and get me a something fruity to drink” Seungho said

“No”

“I’m the patient”

Aiba glared at him and stormed out the apartment as Kaiyo looked at him.

“Hey he needs to get out of here cause he’s cramping my mood” Seungho said

“Really?” Kaiyo asked

“No actually I just want him to run around since he tried to kill me” Seungho said as he got off the bed and stretch

“You’re supposed to be in bed resting” Kaiyo said

“I been in this bed for the past 3 days I’m tired” Seungho said as he walked out the room and noticed some luggage on the floor “Are these yours?” Seungho asked

“Yeah, I’m leaving tomorrow” Kaiyo said

“What? That soon? What about Hideaki?” Seungho asked

“Yeah if I stay any longer I might not want to go home” Kaiyo laugh as she sat on the couch, “but actually I felt if I stay here any longer, something bad will happen so I’m leaving early” Kaiyo said

“But what about Hideaki?” Seungho asked

“He doesn’t know” Kaiyo said

“What?”

“Yeah I wanted some time alone, so I will be leaving without him knowing” Kaiyo said

All sudden the door slam open as Aiba walked in breathing hard,

“Did a doggy chase you?” Seungho asked smiling

“No here I don’t know what fruit you want so here” Aiba said giving him 2 bags full of bottles with variety of drinks

“Wow”

“So what are you to talking about?” Aiba asked

“Nothing” Seungho said as Kaiyo rolled her eyes and got off the couch leaving the room, “What is wrong with you?” Seungho asked as Aiba gulp down a cup of water

“I wasn’t born yesterday; I know you wanted me out of the house so you can put more ideas in her head” Aiba said as Seungho shrugged and handed him a bottle,

“Open”

Aiba rolled his eyes and snatch the bottle as he tries to open it,

“What is wrong with this bottle?” Aiba asked as he bang it on the table

“Either it’s stronger than you or you’re too weak” Seungho said laughing.

Aiba got up and walk to the kitchen as Seungho walked over to where Kaiyo’s luggage was and noticed train ticket. He bent down and looked at it. He placed it back to where it was and pretends to walk around stretching when he heard Aiba coming back from the kitchen.

“Here” Aiba said putting it on the counter

“Thank you” Seungho said taking a sip of it. “I have to go to the bathroom now” Seungho said walking toward the bathroom

“Stop”

“I drank a lot of soup and my bladders need to be emptied unless you want to join me in there” Seungho said with a smirk

“Ew no, up against the wall” Aiba said

“What why?” Seungho asked as Aiba slam him against the wall “like OW! My arm!” Seungho yelled while Aiba check his pockets and took his cellphone

“Just making sure you won’t do what you did a few days ago” Aiba said

“That’s my phone!” Seungho yelled as Aiba put it in his pocket,

“You can go pee” Aiba said as Seungho glare at him

As Seungho walked into the bathroom, he locked the door as he looked around. He reached behind the toilet and yank out a cellphone that was tape in the back,

“I’m not that stupid” Seungho said as he sat on the bathtub and begin typing in the phone,

“Kaiyo, I’m doing this for your own good. Running isn’t going to solve anything” Seungho said as he put the phone back in the back of the toilet with the tape. “I do need to pee now” Seungho said

About 5 minutes later he came out as Aiba handed him his phone,

“That took a long time” Aiba said

“It was really full” Seungho said as he walked away

Chou stood in front of the business building debating should she got in or not.

“If I go in, he would think I accepted him, if I don’t go in, I can never get my stuff out of my desk. What to do…”Chou mumbled. “Maybe if I wait for a month of two when things die down, I can go get my stuff that’s a good idea” Chou said as she turns around when her eyes open wide.

“Are you really that afraid of me?” Yesung asked as Chou tried to say something but her throat was to dry.

“We really need to talk” Yesung said as Chou backed away slowly.

“Yesung, how about we just don’t talk for a while and when things dial down then we will talk” Chou said as Yesung signal his bodyguards who was standing behind Chou on both of her sides.

“We talk now” Yesung said as his bodyguards grab Chou and drag her into the limousine as she screamed and kicked. Once they were in the limo, they sat next to her as she sat in the middle glaring at Yesung who tried not to laugh

“When I tried the nice way you didn’t like it so I used force. Beside it’s for your own good.” Yesung said

“Really? You get your bodyguard to drag a fragile girl into a limo and you say it’s for my own good? Are you nuts?” Chou asked

“You’re not fragile, beside you keep avoiding me. If we don’t solve this now, we will never solve it” Yesung said.

“I wished it would dissolve on its own.” Chou mumbled leaning back on the chair.

The next thing she knew, she was sitting in a restaurant where there was nobody since Yesung requested a private closed in lunch. I sat there still tied to my chair as I glare at Yesung.

“Are you like crazy? You tied me to a chair, and ordered food” Chou asked as Yesung sat there cutting into his steak.

“Well I was waiting for you to be done struggling till I can let you go beside you’re a fast runner” Yesung said.

“You got every bodyguard at every entrance how can I run?” Chou asked looking at each exit the restaurant.

“Well you’re one sneaky girl just being careful” Yesung said as he lean back drinking his glass of wine.

“Fine, I promise I won’t run. If we don’t deal with this now, then you won’t stop will you?” Chou asked.

“True” Yesung said as he signals his men to untie Chou who looked at her wrist.

“Yah! It’s red!” Chou fussed as Yesung rolled his eyes. “What do you want to talk about?” she asked rubbing her arm.

“The obvious us” Yesung said as Chou picked up her utensil as she stop halfway. “I realized that I never loved Sunny at all and that you were the one that I wanted to be with” Yesung said

“You said that to me already” Chou said

“Then why are you running away?” Yesung asked

“It’s too overwhelming. You dumped Sunny in front of national TV, and if I appear I will be on the news next and even though I do have feelings for you, I don’t want to be on TV” Chou said

“I get it, I promise nothing will be on the news” Yesung said calmly.

“Have you seen reporters these days? They will dig through trash to get info; I don’t want my friends to live in fear. How about we just don’t meet for a while until this whole Sunny thing blow over?” Chou asked

“Fine, but you have to come to work” Yesung said

“Why?” Chou asked

“Because if you don’t appear, reporters will know you have something to do with it and so they won’t leave you alone. Besides, I don’t want to miss you too much” Yesung said with a smile as Chou tried not to smile.

“Fine” Chou said as she continues to eat as she looks up occasionally at Yesung who looked at her.

Toma walked into a hotel room as Hyun Joong threw a knife toward the door as it miss Toma a few inches.

“What where you fling that damn thing” Toma fussed as he pulled it out the wall.

“What do you want?” Hyun Joong asked

“Takizawa check out his hotel” Toma said grabbing his luggage.

“That would mean Kaiyo is leaving too” Hyun Joong said getting off the couch.

“Wow I didn’t think of that” Toma said sarcastically.

“I’m not the one that failed to get her attention, so don’t you begin with me” Hyun Joong said.

“As if you can do any better, she didn’t even come to the restaurant” Toma said with a smirk as Hyun Joong glared at him.

“Then what’s the next move?”

“If we cannot take down the Kaiyo pillar, then we attack the other one which is their bastard son, Ryosuke” Toma said.

“How sure are you that is his kid?” Hyun Joong asked.

“I heard it in the café, her so called friends Hong Ki, Chou and Riyo were talking about it” Toma said

“You do know their airheads right?” Hyun Joong asked

Then Toma pulled out a picture he took from spying on the café,

“Look at him, he look like a split image of Takizawa, how else can you explain that his bone marrow matches Ryosuke and that their blood matches? Look at him carefully, you can see the image of Takizawa in him” Toma said as Hyun Joong grab the photo and glare at it. He tore it up and threw it in ashtray as he lit up a match throwing it on the rip photos.

“Let’s take him down” Hyun Joong said as Toma smiled at him.

The next day, Aiba and Seungho dropped Kaiyo at the train station as they look around for the route.

A figure walked by as the person bump into Seungho,

“That was rude!” Seungho yelled

“You’re standing in a public place, don’t scream” Aiba said

“He slam into me without saying excuse me” Seungho fussed

“Who cares, you’re still standing alive” Aiba said, “Here is your train” Aiba said as they stop in front of a train, “It’s really great knowing you, visit us sometimes” Aiba said giving Kaiyo a hug

“I will when I have time” Kaiyo said

“We’re going to miss you and your food. Now I have to go back eating his food” Seungho said as Kaiyo gave him a hug,

“It’s not that bad”

“Well to you no, to me yes” Seungho said as Aiba smack him

“Good luck in life” Aiba said as Kaiyo pick up her bag,

“Thanks” Kaiyo said as Seungho walked next to her,

“I somehow hope the next time we meet, you’re not alone” Seungho said

“Oh don’t worry I will bring Ryosuke with me next time” Kaiyo said as Seungho rolled his eyes,

“No, I mean not being single. I hope you and Hideaki work things out if you get what I mean” Seungho said as Kaiyo just pat his head

“We will see. Take care!” Kaiyo said getting on the train as Seungho and Aiba watch her disappear

“Why do you have to interfere?” Aiba asked

“I’m just mentioning, not interfering, beside I have a feeling things will be perfect when we meet again” Seungho said walking off with Aiba. Seungho turn around to look as he noticed a figure was getting on the train.

“Good luck” Seungho said as he noticed the figure look back at him with a smile

“What are you looking at?” Aiba asked as Seungho turn him around,

“Nothing, we should go eat” Seungho said pushing Aiba forward

As the train begins to move, Kaiyo looked out the window as she felt guilty for not telling Hideaki. She kept looking at her phone debating should she call or not.

“I can give him a call when I get off the train. Since it’s a long trip, I should nap” Kaiyo said to herself as she lean against the window closing her eyes.

A figure walked by her and sat in front of her as she fell asleep.

“You promise not to run away and yet you still do it” Hideaki mumble sitting down. “Yet this world is small and I will prove to you that we’re a match” Hideaki said lying on the chair closing his eyes since its going to be a long trip.

Kaiyo open her eyes as she look out the window, “So it was just a dream” Kaiyo said as she turn her head and noticed a figure sleeping on the chair in front of her.

“Or not…” Kaiyo said as she got up off the couch and walked toward the figure lying in front of her.

She bent down to make sure she wasn’t dreaming,

“How did he know I was here?!” Kaiyo asked in her head as she tried to figure out if he put a chip in her somewhere.

Suddenly the train hit a bump causing her to lose her balance as she fell on top of Hideaki. Her hands hit the couch as she tries to balance not falling on top of him

His eyes were still closed still sleeping as normal. Her heart was beating faster than normal as she felt her cheek getting warm. Their faces were inches away from each other and for some reason she kept staring at Hideaki’s face as she move toward it. She suddenly stops an inch away from his lips when she realized what was going on. She sat up straight and held her cheeks.

“Not happening” she mumbled as she got up and ran to the bathroom.

Hideaki open his eyes as he sat up, “So she is on the same page as me but is still running away” Hideaki said with a smile

Kaiyo begin splashing water on her cheeks,

“Why did I want to kiss him all sudden what is wrong with me?” Kaiyo mumbled as she smack her cheeks, “It can never happen, can never happen” Kaiyo said to herself. She opens the door and in front of her was Hideaki

“So tell me why leave so early?”

“I uh…I gotta go use the restroom again” Kaiyo said running back into the bathroom and lock it.

Hideaki smiled as he knocks on the bathroom door,

“Are you going to stay in there forever?” he asked

“I’m a bit busy here” Kaiyo yelled as she begins pacing back and forth debating what to do. She put the cover seat down on the toilet as she sat down to think. “What to do?” she asked over as she clench her hair making it all messy.

Hideaki stood outside leaning against the wall as he stares at the door. 30 minutes passed as Hideaki knocked on the door,

“You know you been in there for over 30 minutes”

“I know that! I got business to take care of!” Kaiyo yelled as she sat there still thinking what to do. The train is going to stop soon and she’s still in the bathroom. She knows he is still outside the door waiting but she is determined to stay in here until he leaves.

An hour pass by as she sat there reading a book that was left behind, then was an announcement of the train coming to a stop as she took a deep breath wondering if he left yet. All sudden there was a banging on the door as she jump back startled.

“Is anybody in there?”

“That’s not Hideaki’s voice” she said as she opens the door meeting face to face with one of the worker on the train. “Sorry” she said as she ran pass him and looked around.

“He finally gave up and left yay!” Kaiyo said jumping up and down. She ran to get her bags and got off the train onto the platform as she looks around.

“I can finally think” Kaiyo said to herself as she stop when she heard beeping from her phone. She open the text, “Turn around” Kaiyo said as she turn around slowly as she noticed a figure standing behind her a few feet away waving his phone at her.

Kaiyo turn around quickly failing to see the pole in front of her as she slams her forehead on it. She covers her forehead as she bent down.

“And yet you work for me” Hideaki said approaching her.

“It’s not funny” Kaiyo mumbled rubbing it as Hideaki reached over to her forehead and look at it. He was moving closer to her as her heart begins to race. Then all sudden he smacks her forehead as she glared at him.

“You will be alright” Hideaki said smiling as she held her forehead again.

“WTF!” she yelled

“I’m not going to fall for that sad goggling eye look of yours again” Hideaki said as Kaiyo stood up and glare at him.

“Oh look Ryo!” Kaiyo said as Hideaki turned around. Kaiyo grab her bags as she ran off as Hideaki turn back around.

“Damn, why do I fall for her tricks” Hideaki mumbled as he grab his bag and ran after Kaiyo.

Kaiyo turn around to find nobody running after her as she felt something odd but shook it off. She waves a taxi down that stop in front of her. She places her bags in the trunk, she took another look around and got into the taxi in a hurry in case he catch up. She told the driver her address as she lean back on the chair letting out a sigh

“Are you sure you don’t want to visit your café to see if it’s still standing?” a voice asked as she turn her head to the right.

Her eyes open wide as she tries to run, slamming her forehead once again in the window. She forgot that she was in a car, no use running now as the person sitting next to her smiled.

Erika sitting on the bench in the mall took a look around at the couples walking pass her, she then look at the watch and noticed he was late. Then all sudden a bouquet of flowers appears next to her face as she turns around to see Ryo holding it.

“Sorry I’m late, a client was being really talkative” Ryo said as he handed Erika the bouquet.

“Thank you” she said giving him a kiss on the cheek.

She wraps her hands around his as they begin walking around the mall. As Erika went into a shop to try on some clothes, Ryo walked around looking at clothes. A figure appears on the opposite side of the rack.

“Really clothes shopping now?” the figure asked in an angry tone.

“And? I have to do what I have to do” Ryo said looking at the clothes.

“Yet you have time for her but not me” the figure said.

“You already know why, just lay low and things will get done fast” Ryo said as he look at the figure who just glare at him and storms off.

He was about to run after the figure but then Erika came out holding some clothes. He then stayed back.

“Hey I’m hungry, let’s go eat” Ryo said as Erika nodded her head as Ryo paid for the clothes.

As they were walking down to the food court, he noticed a jewelry store as they passed by. Erika ran back as she looked at the glass display outside. Ryo went back to where she was as she pointed out to one called “Round and Baguette Diamond Echo Heart Pendant” complimenting how cute it was.

Then they walk down to the food court area as Ryo excused himself to go get coffee. He walked back to the jewelry store a while ago and walked in.

“Hi sir, how may I help you?” the saleswoman asked with a smile

“I want that heart necklace out on the display glass outside” Ryo said as she nodded and went to get it. A few minutes later, she came back with the exact one. Ryo looked at it and nodded. “I’ll buy it and can you wrap it nicely it’s a gift” Ryo said handing her the credit card.

A few minutes later she return with his credit card, the receipt and the necklace wrap nicely and placed in a bag. He took it and walks out the store. He then placed the bag inside his jacket so nobody can see it. He walks off toward the coffee stand in the mall to get himself a cup of coffee. He return to see Erika sitting there eating,

“Sorry the line was long” Ryo said sitting down.

“No problem” Erika said as they sat there eating and talking.

Riyo opens her eyes and notices, it was already morning. Another night has passed but yet her nightmare are coming back nonstop. And each time, it was getting more real. She got up and decided to go for a shower. After an hour, she got out and put on some clothes as her phone rang, she went over and noticed it was Jin that was calling her. She places it back on the table and decided to go out for a walk.

She grabs her side purse and walk out from the room leaving her phone on the table as she doesn’t want to be bother.

As she walks around the area, she looked around as happy couples walk pass her as she was alone. She sat down on the bench alone,

“Maybe it’s best to just leave everything here and disappear” she mumbled when suddenly a hand holding a cup of drink next to her.

“Your favorite, hot mocha” Jung Min said as she took it.

“You still know all this time?” she asked

“Pretty much if I’m still in love with you” Jung Min said as he sat down next to her. “You seem depress” Jung Min said

“Not getting enough sleep I guess” Riyo said taking a sip of her drink.

“You need somebody to listen to your complaints?” Jung Min asked as Riyo look at him.

“I just need somebody to sit next to me for a while I will be fine” she said she lean back as both watch people walk by them.

An hour passed as she took a glance over at Jung Min who continue to sit next to her. His phone rang a few times but he hit ignore as he sat next to her quietly. She placed the empty cup into the trashcan next to her. He then got up and walked away as she watches the cloud moving slowly. Her eyes begin to doze off as Jung Min return back with two more cups of drink. He saw her falling asleep as he went over to where she was. Her head tilt to one side as Jung Min placed the cups next to him. He moved over as her head hit his shoulder. He sat there as she continues to sleep on his shoulder.

“I do wish we can be like this forever” he whispered as he strokes her hair placing gently a soft kiss on her head.

As the taxi stop in front of her house, she ran out forgetting her bag as she pulled out her keys and unlocks the house. Closing the door behind her and locking it.

“I’m safe now” Kaiyo mumbled as she walks toward the kitchen grabbing a water bottle when she heard the locks to the front door unlock. She ran out to see who it was and there he was walking in with her suitcases and his’. She spit her water out as she saw him standing in front of her.

“How the hell you got in here?!” Kaiyo asked pointing at him.

“Keys” Hideaki said holding it up.

“How the hell do you have one?!” Kaiyo asked.

“Oh I forgot to mention to you this, this house your standing on that you lease, well let’s see… I’m the owner” Hideaki said with a smirk

“What?” Kaiyo asked

“Pretty much, since I’m the owner of this house, I got the keys” Hideaki said as he put the luggage down and lay on the couch.

“It’s good to be home” he said letting out a loud sigh.

“You don’t live here” Kaiyo said.

“I do now, and beside you have another room that is empty” Hideaki said sitting up.

“That is not for you, that room is for guest” Kaiyo said.

“I’m the owner of the house and I say that room is for me” Hideaki said getting up as he grabs his bags and before Kaiyo said anything he ran upstairs.

“Please tell me this isn’t happening” Kaiyo mumbled. “Where is everybody?” Kaiyo asked as she noticed the house so quiet. Since he was up there, she slowly sneaked out the house making her way to her café.

Riyo opens her eyes and noticed that she was sleeping on Jung Min shoulder. She sat up as he looked at her.

“Nice nap?” he asked as she smiled

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Riyo asked

“You were sleeping peacefully so I just let you sleep. Since you did mention you had a hard time sleeping lately” Jung Min replied as Riyo rubs her neck.

“Thanks, I should get going back to the café. I promise I would help out today” Riyo said.

“How about as a thank you, you treat me to a coffee?” Jung Min asked as Riyo nodded her head. They begin walking side by side toward the café talking. Little did they realize, Jin who was driving by in his car seeing them walking together, talking and smiling. He stepped on the brakes as he got out of the car.

She didn’t pick up her cellphone, nor replied to any of his messages just because she’s with a guy. He kicked his tires as he got back into the car and speed off.

Kaiyo was standing at the corner of the street as she dials Ryosuke phone number,

“Hello?”

“Ryosuke?” Kaiyo asked

“Hey nee-chan, how’s vacation?” Ryosuke asked.

“Short, I’m back” Kaiyo said.

“Eh? That short? You should’ve stayed longer” Ryosuke complained

“Nah, I miss you monkeys” Kaiyo said. “Where are you?” Kaiyo asked as she noticed a familiar figure across the street. “Hey I see you!” Kaiyo said waving as Ryosuke notice her too waving back.

“I’m coming don’t move” Kaiyo said as Ryosuke nod. As the walk sign turn on, people begin walking over fast as she was trap in the crowd.

A figure in the front wearing a cap and dark outfit walked fast as it pulled out a knife. Ryosuke stood there waiting for Kaiyo as the figure walked up to him when suddenly Ryosuke felt a sharp pain on the side. He looked down and there was a knife. The figure pushed it deeper into Ryosuke’s side. Ryosuke looked down as the knife was still in him. The figure walked off disappearing into the crowd as blood begins to drip down from the knife.

He then fell down to the ground in pain as people begin surround him, Kaiyo noticed something wrong as she pushed through the crowd. There in front of her, her little brother stab and was bleeding. She ran over to him holding him,

“Ryosuke? Ryosuke can you hear me?!” she called frantically as he begins to mumble holding onto her arm.

“Somebody please call the ambulance!” she screamed as people begin to dial. She held Ryosuke close to her pleading him to stay with her as he whisper her name over and over.

“Ryosuke, don’t leave nee-chan you hear me? Don’t leave me” she screamed crying as she held onto his wound trying to stop the blood.

But no matter how much she hold onto it, blood continue to come out. She can feel the life in him begin to leave him as she held him tightly...
