Chapter 20

When both Riyo and Chou reach home, they were greeted by a smiling Hong Ki. Chou eyes widen as she saw his new hair color.

“So what do you think?” Hong Ki asked.

“First it was orange, blonde and now what color are you trying to create?” Chou asked pulling his hair

“Owwww” Hong Ki yelled as he smacks her hand. “This, my friend is suppose to be maroon…I think” Hong Ki said as he look at himself in the mirror.

“Well you sure fail at making the color maroon because you now look like you just pour a bucket of paint on your head” Chou said as she walk into the house.

“Whatever your opinion doesn’t matter, Riyo what do you think?” Hong Ki asked Riyo who was walking up the stairs.

She stops and looks at Hong Ki, “It looks nice” Riyo said as she continues to go upstairs.

“See she says it’s nice!”

“Well she’s in a miserable state of course she will say that color look nice. Seriously why that hair color and style? You look like you just put a color mop on your head” Chou said trying not to laugh.

“Well I want a new change duh” Hong Ki said as he was trying on different hats

“Well that new change will so drive girls away” Chou said as Ryo came downstairs dress in his suit. “Well, well where are you going dressing all nice” Chou asked

“On a date”

“You date? So who’s the unlucky girl?” Chou asked as Ryo ignore her.

“Her name is Erika” Ryo said fixing his collar

“That name sounds familiar” Chou said

“Oh isn’t she that cop friend of Lillian who is also a subordinate of Keiichiro and Jin?” Hong Ki asked

“You sure know a lot about that team” Ryo said with a smirk

“If you’re thinking it’s because I get caught a lot then you’re wrong, I just know a few people there” Hong Ki retorted

“Yeah sure, let’s recount the times you got caught by that same team shall we?” Ryo said sarcastically as Hong Ki stood there counting in his head.

“No more than 5 times” Hong Ki said.

“Exactly my point; 5 time by the same team is too much and what’s with your hair?” Ryo asked changing the subject as he noticed Hong Ki’s new hair color, while Chou in the back giggled

“New color, new style” Hong Ki replied

“Well you created a new color for sure” Ryo said as Hong Ki glare at him. “Anyways don’t stay up to wait for me. I might not be home either” Ryo said as he left the house.

“Hey Hong Ki, I set up the site for you already” Ryosuke said coming out from the other living room sitting on the couch

“Site? What are you trying to sell your hair designs because it will fail” Chou said

“No just something you don’t need to know and thank you Ryosuke, who know you knows so much about computer” Hong Ki said patting Ryosuke on the head

Hong Ki walked off as Ryosuke look at him, “What’s with his hair?”

Chou shrugged as she looks toward the stairs, “Wonder what is Riyo thinking now?”

Riyo sat on her bed looking at the gift bag Jungmin handed her. She reached in and pulled out a box. She opens it and found a triangle doll. Her eyes begin to tear up as she touch the doll,

“After 2 years you finally manage to find the one I’m looking for” she whispered crying. She lay down on the bed holding the doll in her hand.

She was too tired already; too tired of everything that was happening.

Hyun Joong still hugging her tightly, Kaiyo pushes him away as he look at her,

“So what’s up” Kaiyo said pretending nothing happen.

“Just wondering around, never thought to run into you here” Hyun Joong lied

“I see…I’m here with Hideaki” Kaiyo blurted out of nowhere.

“Hideaki is here I see…” Hyun Joong said looking at Kaiyo who was looking inside a store. “So where is he?”

“Somewhere on a mission I think” Kaiyo said going into the store, “I was wondering if I can look at the collection of watches you have” as the salesman took out a few.

“Buying something?”

“Pretty much since Hideaki let me have his credit cards” Kaiyo said with a smile as she looks through it.

“You seem to be comfortable around him now…something happen?” Hyun Joong asked.

“You can say” she said with a smile

“Maybe its just me but are you avoiding me or something” Hyun Joong asked.

“Don’t know” as Kaiyo pick 4 watches and asked the salesman to wrap it up and handing him the card.

Once everything was done they left the store as Kaiyo tries to avoid his questions. Hyun Joong grab Kaiyo’s arm and turn her around,

“I know you have feelings for me and you know I have feelings for you too. Why are you avoiding it?!” Hyun Joong asked as he looks into her eyes.

“Let’s get the fact straight, one yes I do have feelings for you and two those are just random feelings. Yes I was attracted to you at first but then I realized I use those feelings to cover up some other feelings.” Kaiyo said pushing Hyun Joong grip off from her arm.

“You keep on saying those feelings were just random then how come you kiss me back?” Hyun Joong asked angrily staring into her eyes

“My state of mind was confused that time and my feelings were all mixed up what do you want me to do?” Kaiyo asked.

“That isn’t an explanation. You have feelings for me end of conversation”

“No not that end of conversation, those feelings are gone” Kaiyo yelled back.

“Then tell me, when I hug you why did you hug me back?”

“Its just a polite way okay”

“Yeah sure, you should have push me away instead of standing there for the next 5 minutes” Hyun Joong said “You think that your feelings for Hideaki is stronger than you have for mines is that it?” Hyun Joong as Kaiyo just stood there silently.

“What no answer? You can deny all you want that you don’t have feelings for me but you do.” Hyun Joong said in a serious tone. “Kaiyo, listen, I know you’re tired of all these stuff, the killing the mission. You want a normal life but let me tell you; with Hideaki you will not have a normal life. Everyday you will worry about him and wonder if he will ever come home. Do you think any woman would want a life like that always wondering if one day that terrible news will come?” Hyun Joong asked as Kaiyo turns away.

“Exactly, but with me it’s different. If you chose the feelings you have with me, I promise you that we will have a normal life, away from everything here and you don’t have to worry about me or if I’m hurt” Hyun Joong said as he reach out holding onto Kaiyo’s hand.

“I don’t know. Stop confusing me! Kaiyo yelled as she pushes Hyun Joong hands away and back away from him.

“I know you want a normal life, but do you really think you can have it with Hideaki?” Hyun Joong asked as Kaiyo looked away as her mind was all confuse. “Think about it. I will wait for at the restaurant around the corner from your hotel at 8 o’clock.” Hyun Joong said as Kaiyo look at him. She turns around and walked away with her mind all confuse. She pulled over a taxi and told the hotel name. Once she got into the lobby a bellboy approach her,

“Are you Ms. Kaiyo?” he asked as she nodded her head.

“Mr. Hideaki said to meet him at the hotel’s restaurant at 8 today” he said with a smile. Kaiyo nodded her head and handed the boy his tip.

She took the elevator upstairs and got into the room. She placed the bags on the floor as she threw herself onto the bed. For the past 10 minutes, she has been staring at the ceiling wondering what to do. What Hyun Joong said was partially right, she wanted a normal life but the problem lies is with whom.

She sat up and opens her suitcase. She took out a jewelry box that Hyun Joong gave her a month ago as a present. She opens it and inside was the necklace of a star. She stares at it for a while and place it on the table and then she dug into her bag and pulled out two more boxes. She open one and inside was a diamond ring, the ring Toma gave her hoping she would leave with him but didn’t. She placed that box on the table, she then open the last box in which inside was an engagement ring that Hideaki handed her before he left for a mission a year ago. He hoped when he return he see her wearing it but she never did and wanted to stay friends with him instead. She then noticed something she has not seen before. She took the ring from the box and read the engraving inside the band,

“12/10/08…that was the first time I met him…he actually remember that day?” Kaiyo asked herself as she looks at the ring. She put it back in the box and now in front of here were 3 jewelry boxes and only one she can choose. She stares at it for a while and couldn’t decide so she decided to talk a walk outside hoping to clear her head.

She left the hotel and walk around the area hoping for some kind of sign. She sat down on the bench and look in front of where were the children were playing, a dog ran up to her and look at her. She bends down and pats it on the head as it places a paw in her hand.

“Where’s your owner?” Kaiyo asked but the dog just sat there looking at her. “Do you want to listen to my problems?” she asked the dog who jump next to her on the bench. With nothing to lose, she sat there talking to the dog till she got to the end of her problem,

“And so I can’t choose so who should I chose?” Kaiyo asked the dog who just look at her with its head tilting to the side staring at her with its curious look. “What am I thinking asking a dog for advice?”

“By any chance you understand what I said a while ago?” Kaiyo asked as the dog gave her a bark. “I take that as a yes…if you were me who would you choose?” she asked the dog who look at her.

“Toma?” the dog just sat there and blink

“Hyun Joong?” the dog wags its tail

“Or Hideaki?” the dog put its paw on her leg and look at her.

“What does those mean seriously?” she ask the dog but the dog hearing a whistle got up and ran off

“Seriously? You didn’t answer me yet!” she yelled out to the dog but it disappear. “what am I doing asking a dog? You have totally gone mental Kaiyo” she mumbled

She took a look at her watch and it was already 6. She got 2 hours to decide whom she will go meet. Either Hyun Joong or Hideaki…Toma is totally out of the picture. Maybe I can flip a coin” Kaiyo said as she walks back to her room. She sat down and closes one of the boxes and threw it into the bag. She now stares at two boxes in front of her.

Suddenly Hyun Joong voice echo in her head, “You want a normal life but let me tell you; with Hideaki you will not have a normal life.”

“What Hyun Joong says is true, I do want a normal life living with Ryosuke he deserve a normal life…but if I choose Hideaki can I achieve that at all? Can he leave it all behind to have a normal life? He is the leader of the association…while Hyun Joong is just a hired to kill guy and can leave at any moment…who is willingly going to leave everything to have a normal life…my god who should I really choose normal life or worry about your life? ” she asked herself as she looks back into the memories with both of the men she encounter. She sat up and looks at the necklace and ring again,

“I want a normal life and only one person can give it to me” she whispered looking at the boxes.

Riyo sat down at the noodle shop after ordering her food. She sat there playing with her chopsticks till she felt a familiar presence next to hers’. She turn to the side finding Mike sitting there drinking his cup of tea.

“Why are you here?” Riyo asked

“I’m here because I’m a regular customer, I should ask you that question” Mike said

“I’m here because I’m hungry” Riyo said turning away.

“Really? Out of thousands of restaurant, you happen to chose this?” Mike asked as Riyo nodded her head. “Just admit it, you’re here because you want to see me” Mike said

“Pshhh out of millions guys on earth, why do I have to choose you?” Riyo asked

“Well, I’m cute, handsome and I did save your life” Mike said

“Whatever” Riyo said as the chef handed her bowl of udon. She begins eating as Mike just sat there observing her stuff her mouth. She look up at him as he smiles at her.

“Are you sure that bowl is going to stuff you? You usually eat a lot” Mike said with a smirk

“Why are you taking so much interest in me?” Riyo asked “Ah I know you like me don’t you?” Riyo said as Mike stare at her.

“Psh no” Mike said gulping down his tea, “can I get more tea here?” Mike asked as Riyo snickered

“You know now that you mention it I feel like ordering some more food” Riyo said as she ordered more food as Mike eyes widen at the amount she ordered

For the next hour he watches her eat nonstop without getting stuff. He got up to go to the restroom from the amount of tea he drank. Once he got out, Riyo was nowhere to be seen,

“Oh Mikeeeee” the chef called

“What?”

“Here is your check” he said handing Mike the invoice

“I barely ate anything!” Mike said as he looks at the amount of food on the invoice

“Oh she said you’re paying so pay up” the chef said with a smile as Mike handed him his credit card

“My god she eats and eats and yet don’t look fat” Mike mumble as he walk out the shop

“You want me to get fat why?” Riyo asked popping out from behind him causing him to jump

“If you keep on popping out like that, I’m going to get a heart attack” Mike said as Riyo laugh, “Anyways you owe me money woman”

“Haha no, you told me to eat more so this is your tab” Riyo said laughing as she skip off like a little girl

“You’re twisted and evil as Kaiyo said”

“Thanks for your compliment!” Riyo yelled from distance

Both were walking alone in the street, Riyo was still skipping happily as Mike watch her from behind,

“So…where are you going?” Mike asked

“Don’t know what do you have in mind?” Riyo asked stopping him in his track as she stood in front of him.

“What do you mean by that?” Mike asked

Riyo move closer toward him as he look at her, “Do you want to…”

“Stop!” Mike said as he move away from her. Riyo look at his face and begin to laugh,

“I swear you’re like an innocent boy” Riyo said as she move closer to him as he back away till his back was toward the wall. “Awwww look like you cannot move anymore” Riyo said as she lean closer to him

She can feel his heart beating quickly as he tries to stare her down hoping she would back down but she keeps on moving closer and closer to him when her lips was onto his. Her lips were soft and sweet. She moved away as he stood still

“Thank you for saving my life” she whispered turning away and skipping.

“That was just for a thank you?” Mike asked himself “If I save her a few more times that means…” Mike said to himself,

“That doesn’t mean I’m going to sleep with you” Riyo said, “So scratch that off your dirty mind” Riyo said as he stare at her wondering how she read his mind

She was indeed a interesting girl, he ran after her till he caught up. He stood in front of her as she look at him,

“What you want more?” Riyo asked as Mike begins to stutter. “What are you trying to say?” Riyo asked

“I like you”

“That is new” Riyo said

“I like you, will you be my girlfriend” as Mike said through his stutter.

“Sure. Why not” Riyo said

“Really?”

“But first, let’s eat!” Riyo said as Mike look at her weirdly

“But you just ate!”

“I mean dessert duh” Riyo said holding his hand as she drags him toward another direction,

“What did I get myself into?” Mike asked himself

“Riyo is it true that you’re dating?” Chou asked

“News travel fast” Riyo said as she text on her phone

“Who’s the guy?”

“You will meet him soon” she said as she close her phone

A moment later Mike walked in wearing his dark outfit as he look around and noticed Riyo. He walked over to the table and sat down next to her.

“So where do you want to go today?” Mike asked

“Um…movies, dinner and home” Riyo said winking at Mike as he turn away, Chou look at Mike. “Oh, Mike this is Chou, Chou, Mike” Riyo introduce both of them.

“So Mike…do you have any friends that are single?” Chou asked as he choke on his water.

“Gah Chou you cause him to choke” Riyo said rubbing his back

“Hey I’m not the one winking at him giving him all these sexual signs. You’re such a pervert” Chou said as Riyo laugh as Mike still choking on the water.

“I just love to look at his face every time I mention sex to him” Riyo said

“Haha what happen?” Chou asked

“He gets all red and blushes and stutters and he would change the subject nonstop” Riyo said

“Oh…so he’s still…” Chou look around and got closer to Riyo “a virgin?” she whispered

“Haha yepyep” Riyo laugh as Mike tries to ignore their conversation by scooting down on his seat

“Watch this” Riyo said as she used one of her leg and rub it on Mike’s leg causing him to jump up slamming his leg on the table as both Riyo and Chou laugh

“My god you don’t need to react like that” Riyo exclaimed as Mike sat down covering his face from the embarrassment

Kaiyo appeared behind them as she tapped Mike,

“We need to talk” Kaiyo said as she look at him. He nodded his head as he got up,

“Be right back” Mike said giving Riyo a kiss on the cheek

“Kaiyo seems pretty pissed” Chou said as Riyo got up and follow them. “You shouldn’t do that!” Chou warned but Riyo ignore.

Mike and Kaiyo went into a room. Kaiyo closed the door. Riyo got closer once the door was closed. She lean toward the door to listen to the conversation when they realized somebody else was in the room with them.

“Hideaki kun” Mike said as Hideaki looked at him,

“What the hell are you doing?” he asked

“Nothing”

“Really, dating Riyo is nothing?” Hideaki asked

“Okay, I’m dating her, what it got to do with you two?” Mike asked angrily

“You’re dating Riyo, you do know it will put her in a lot of danger” Kaiyo said

“I separate my work and my personal life apart, you two don’t need to butt in” Mike said

“You’re dating one of our friends, what do you expect us to do? Just sit around and do nothing?!” Kaiyo asked

“Let me asked about you two then, you two are basically going at it and yet you’re lecturing me” Mike said

“We are not going at it and we are basically partners not what you think” Kaiyo said

“As if I believe that. A few days ago I was in the hotel finishing up a mission, and guess what I saw, you two in the elevator making out like a bunch of teenagers and heading into a room what do you make of that?” Mike said as both Hideaki and Kaiyo avoid looking at each other

“We were drunk and this is not your business” Kaiyo said

“Really it looks like you two were doing more than kissing. When two people go to the hotel you do things” Mike said as Kaiyo slap him

“I swear to god if you say another word, I will kill you” Kaiyo hissed

“Our point is, we don’t want you to put Riyo at risk, and you do know you’re job. She doesn’t know, she doesn’t know how to fight back, she doesn’t know self defense so how will you be able to take care of yourself and her?” Hideaki asked angrily

“I will figure a way, so just leave me alone!” Mike yelled as he kicks the chair and left the room.

He noticed Riyo standing in front of him as he grab Riyo arm and drag her away.

As they reach the pier, Riyo stood there quietly as Mike tries to calm down.

“Aren’t you going to ask me what happen in there?” Mike asked

“When you want to talk about it, then you will” Riyo said

“Do you want to know what job I do?” Mike asked as Riyo shook her head. “Why?”

“Because it’s your personal space, I don’t want to intrude there” Riyo said as Mike hug her.

“I promise you, I will protect you no matter what” Mike said as Riyo hug him tightly

“I know you will” Riyo said

Loud thunder was rumble across the skies, Riyo open her eyes as she noticed the sky was getting darker.

“You promise to protect me, you did and it cost you your life” Riyo whispered.

She reaches over to the bed stand and opens the drawer. She took out a box that contains a ring. She look at it and remember after 6 months of dating, he proposed to her. That month they were supposed to get married, but he never show up at the church. She waited day and night but there were no calls nor did he appear. She thought he abandoned her and left her by herself.

She close the box as she put it back where it belong,

“I’m sorry to blame you all this time” Riyo whispered she then remember after 4 months of Mike’s disappearance, that’s when Jung Min enter her life

She was in a bakery looking at the choices of cake to buy; she noticed a double chocolate fudge cake.

“Miss can I get the double chocolate fudge cake” she said but she heard from another aisle next to her wanting the same cake

Both cashier look at each other as Riyo stare at the person wanting to order the cake. It was a guy, wearing suit type clothing. He looks at her as she looks back at the cashier, and both at the same time said the same thing,

“I’ll take it!”

“Excuse me but I order it first” Riyo said

“Well I said it first to the cashier”

“So I got here first!”

“Oh well too bad”

“That’s not so gentleman of you to do that to a lady” Riyo said

“Who cares, I want that cake” he said

“No I want it” Riyo yelled

“No I want it!” he yelled causing the lady holding the cake to go back and forth.

The guy snatch the cake from the cashier,

“Ha! I win”

“Oh no you don’t!” Riyo said as she smack onto the cake he was holding. The cake drop on his shoe splattering on the floor, “If I can’t have it, nobody can have it” Riyo said licking her hand. “Yummy chocolately” Riyo said as she handed the cashier the money walking away

“My shoes!!” he yelled as she turn around and laugh at the scenes and ran off before he chases after her

About an hour later she stop at ice cream parlor looking at the variety of ice cream,

“Can I get the waffle cone with, cookie dough, vanilla, and chocolate chip one and add sprinkle on it.” Riyo said.

The bell rang as a customer walk in,

“Can I get vanilla, chocolate chip and cookie dough with waffle cone” the guy said as Riyo look at the guy

“YOU AGAIN!” Riyo said out loud as he look at Riyo

“You owe me a new pair of shoe!” he fussed as she looks at what he was wearing with his suit.

“That’s what you get for trying to take my cake” Riyo retorted as she paid for her ice cream and walk out the store.

She stood outside eating her ice cream when suddenly somebody shoved her causing her ice cream to be push toward her face. She pulled the ice cream away from her face to see the same guy that stole her cake before standing next to her smirking

“You’re an ass” Riyo mumble

“Well you’re a bitch. That’s for ruining my shoes” he said as taking a lick of his ice cream when suddenly Riyo push his hand up causing his ice cream to hit his face

“Aww look like your face is ruin too” she said with a smirk as she reached into her purse to take out a paper when a strange man ran into her snatching her purse “What the hell he just stole my purse!” Riyo yelled as the guy wipe his face with the sleeve of his jacket and begin running after the robber. As he was running he senses another presence running next to him. He turns to look to find the same girl running next to him but she was even faster than him. She jumped onto the robber knocking him down to the ground.

“She just leap like a tiger going after meat…”he mumbled as he stood there watching Riyo smacking her purse on the robber.

He pulled her off as she smack him on the side with her purse,

“Stupid guy stealing my stuff, this should be a lesson for you not to steal people stuff especially women’s purse!” Riyo said as the guy next to her took out handcuff and handcuff the robber.

“It must be your unlucky day to steal for this woman” he said to the robber. Soon a few patrol appeared taking the robber away.

“So you’re a cop” Riyo said as the guy wipes his hand on a paper

“And?”

“A cop that is an ass great” Riyo mumble as she look at him

“You run pretty fast in heels. Have you ever thought about becoming a cop?” he asked

“I have no interest of caring for the law or following rules so being a cop doesn’t suite me beside I don’t want to turn out to be an ass like you” Riyo said as she sign a paper and handed it to the cop that took her statement. “Anyways, nice seeing you again, I do hope I don’t run into ever, ever again” Riyo said walking away as the guy stare at her.

“Very interesting girl” he said

“Jung Min, here’s her statement” the other cop said handing the man he called Jung Min the clipboard.

“Nakamura, Riyo” he said as he look at the direction she walked in, “We will meet again watch” Jung Min said

A few days later at the café Riyo was wiping the counter,

“So Riyo, where do you want to go today?” Chou asked looking through a magazine.

“Don’t know. We went shopping yesterday, how about the movies, I heard there is a cute movie out this week” Riyo said

A few customers walked in the café as both of them greeted them. Riyo noticed a familiar face as she duck behind the counter.

“Why are you down there now?” Chou asked

“Shhhhhh” Riyo said as Chou look toward the customers.

After ordering, Jung Min took a look around,

“Can I asked by any chance you know where Nakamura, Riyo is at?” he asked as Chou look at him and then next to her.

“She’s in probably in the back. Is there something wrong?” Chou asked

“Nothing, just asking” Jung Min said sitting down at the table with his colleagues

Chou bends down next to Riyo who was mumbling stuff,

“What did you do now?”

“Remember a few days ago I told you about a guy I meant that was an ass who turn out to be a cop?” Riyo said

“Yeah…”

“That was him. He’s probably out to get me, how did he know I work here?” Riyo asked

“Well did you say you gave a statement to the police, he probably looked up your information on the computer, he’s totally out to get revenge on you” Chou said trying not to laugh

“Not if I declare war first” Riyo said

“Hey Jung Min, how do you know about this café?” Keiichiro asked

“I should asked you that question” Jung Min said, “People here seems familiar with you”

“I come here often since I live near here” he replied

“I thought you live like 30 minutes from here” Lillian asked

“The coffee here is good” Keiichiro said

“Sure…just say you have a major crush on the owner” Hiro said laughing as Riyo place their coffee on the table and place Jung Min’s coffee hard on the table as he look up.

“Oh its you” he said with a smile

“Why are you here?” Riyo asked

“Just hanging around is that against the law now?” Jung Min asked as Riyo rolled her eyes

“You want revenge don’t you for ruining your damn shoes huh?” Riyo asked

“Maybe” Jung Min said as he pick up the cup of coffee as Riyo bend down next to his ears,

“You better be careful, you might not know what I put in that coffee” she whisper to him walking off as he look at the coffee and back at Riyo who was behind the counter glaring at him

He took a sip and placed the cup on the table, as his friends look at him.

“What?” he asked

“Did you taste anything different?” Aya asked as he shrug

“Taste like regular coffee” Jung Min said as the other nodded their head and continue eating their food.

Kaiyo walked out as she noticed Riyo glaring at a table,

“Why are you glaring at that table?” Kaiyo asked

“Trying to put a curse on that guy” Riyo said as Kaiyo took a look at the table again.

“On Keiichiro?”

“No not the midget his tall good looking friend” Riyo said

“What did he do to you now?”

“He smack ice cream in my face” Riyo said as Kaiyo and Chou just laugh “Well not literally but he’s a sneaky bastard” Riyo said

Soon they stood up after receiving a phone call, they place money on the table walking out the door, Jung Min stop by the counter and look at Riyo,

“Thank you for your delicious coffee, and if you want to declare war, I’ll take you on anytime” Jung Min said as Riyo lean closer to him

“You’re on”

“By the way I’m Park Jung Min”

“Nakamura, Riyo” Riyo said

“We will meet again” Jung Min said

He then left with the others as both Riyo and Chou went to clean the table. Chou picked up the money and noticed a piece of paper under it with a phone number.

“Oooo look like somebody left their number for you” Chou said handing it to Riyo.

“How sure are you it’s for me? It could be from that midget to Kaiyo” Riyo said

“For sure it’s not for me, Keiichiro gave me his number a while ago and it’s not that number for sure” Kaiyo said looking at it.

“What is going in his mind?” Riyo asked

“Don’t know but he’s pretty cute. You should totally go for him” Chou said

“You do know who he is right?” Kaiyo asked

“A cop” Riyo said

“That’s not good” Chou said as Riyo stare at the piece of paper in her hand

“Could I really move on already?” Riyo asked herself

As thunder rumble across the skies, there was no sign of rain yet. Riyo look out the window as she stares at the dark night sky. “It’s going to be raining soon. Then the day will be over just like the next and yet those memories keep on coming back like it all happen yesterday. Meeting you was already the first mistake in our relationship” Riyo whispered

Jung Min who was sitting in the car opens his eyes. Those memories of Riyo keep on flooding his mind. He slams his fist onto the steering wheel, “why can’t I just let it go” he mumbled as he looks out the car window toward the window in a house just a few feet from where he park. He saw her standing there looking out the window.

How he wished he could be next to her, to hold her and never let her go. “But I decided to let her go already” he mumble as he just continue to look at her from distance.

8 o’clock came by faster than she thought it would. Kaiyo came out from the bathroom in a long strapless black dress. She looks at herself in the mirror,

“This is it” she said to herself putting on a black silk scarf around her neck. She turns around and head toward the table as she sat down to look at the two boxes in front of her. She took a deep breath and reach out for one of the boxes. She then walks out from the room without turning back.

As she was walking down the street in the cold weather, snow was falling lightly down from the sky. Ahead is the restaurant she chose to go to, as she cross the street, a figure in a bicycle was going toward but it slowly speed up due to the ice on the ground.

The figure rang the bell on his bike hoping the pedestrian would move out the way but it was too late when Kaiyo turn the bike ran into her. She fell onto the ground as the figure on the bike flew over her.

Slowly everything begins to feel cold and dark as Kaiyo closed her eyes…

Looking out the window, the sky was getting dark but yet the moon is shining brightly as usual. He took a sip from his glass of wine flipping the coin up and down.

He keeps on looking toward the entrance of the restaurant waiting for her arrival. He looks back down at his phone as the time begins to tick away.

He noticed a shadow hovering over him,

“Finally you’re here” he said looking up.
