Chapter 10

Kaiyo eyes just stared at the person on the bed waving at her,

“You don’t need to stare at me like that, I’m not dead yet” Hideaki said with a smile.

“Why are you here?”

“Because I’m the donor”

“Why?”

“Because I am”

“Hold on, how did you know about this?” Kaiyo asked.

“A few days ago, when you told me to drop you off at the corner of the street, I followed you” Hideaki said flipping through the magazine.

“You followed?”

“Yeah…you should work on your sneakiness…Chou and Riyo does it better than you” Hideaki said putting the magazine down.

“And?”

“Well I saw you in this room and I bump into Sister…Angela she told me your whole story so then I asked the doctor to see if I’m a matching donor and I guess miracle do happen” Hideaki said smiling at Kaiyo.

“I cannot believe you have to find out”

“Yeah it’s sad but now you’re little brother can live a better life after I donate him some of my bone marrow…I do hope it doesn’t hurt” Hideaki said.

“You’re an assassin, you’re not afraid of anything but you’re afraid of this?” Kaiyo asked.

“Out there is guns and knifes and bombs but this is a needle we’re talking about it stings”

Kaiyo sat there laughing as Hideaki lean back on the bed,

“You know, once I donate my bone marrow, you sorta do owe me”

“I know, thank you so much for helping my little bro, what can I do for you” Kaiyo said holding his hand.

“Well for starter, I want better food, the hospital food is bleh. Second I want you to take care of you little brother meaning you two live together and third I need you to aid somebody on a mission”

“Whoa hold on there, I said one not a million” Kaiyo said holding two hands up.

“Kaiyo, I’m serious on all three”

“Can I not do the second and last one?” Kaiyo asked.

“You have too. You’re the last family he has; you have to take care of him.”

“But my job…”

“You own a café, cakes and coffee won’t come alive and eat him” Hideaki said as Kaiyo just smiled. “Beside you rarely do what you used to do anymore, so why not take care of him since you neglected him several years?”

“I get you’re point, I will think about it and another mission?”

“About that, since I’m donating my bone marrow to your little bro, I cannot leave the hospital till I get better and there is a mission well part of a mission I need you to help me with”

“What is it?”

“I need you to go to the airport to pick up one of my friends; here is the terminal and flight number they will be at. He will know who you are since I mention him to you. All you will be doing is aiding him on a mission since he needs a sniper and I’m not going to be there and you’re the best sniper beside me so…”

“Fine I will do it”

“Great! Now I can go to surgery happily” Hideaki said with a sigh of relief.

“You sound like you’re going to die; it’s just a small operation”

“Yeah with a long ass needle” Hideaki mumble as Kaiyo sat back and laughs.

As Riyo parked the car in front of the garage, she let out a sigh of relief.

“Is he really back?” Chou asked as Riyo just stare into space. “Riyo?”

“Yeah?”

“What are you planning to do now?” Chou asked.

“I don’t know…try to avoid him I guess.”

“You do know he’s out there looking for you.” Chou said in a serious tone.

“I know and I cannot let him see me” Riyo said as she bangs her head onto the steering wheels.

“It’s a bit too late for that one, he SAW you. Now he’s going to look for you, maybe flip the whole country upside down to look for you.”

“Gah why did he have to come back…everything is going really well but now…”

“I wonder if the reason he came back was because of you…if that’s the reason, he’s totally romantic. But too bad you two cannot be together, one whoever shot you and him obviously was out to get him and you’re going to be his target and two he’s a cop and you’re a robber, black and white really cannot mix.” Chou said as Riyo just look at her.

“I guess so. Let’s just pretend nothing happen alright. We had fun shopping and now we’re back home. Please don’t mention this to anybody” Riyo said getting out of the car and grab the bags.

“But…”

Before Chou could say another word, Riyo left inside the house. Chou walked in placing the bags onto the floor as Ryo walked out with a plate of pasta in his hand.

“Why not just buy the whole damn mall if you’re buying that much stuff” Ryo asked as Chou stuck her tongue at Ryo.

“I’m not in the mood to argue back with you”

“ooo what happen? Riyo’s face looks dark…”

“Park Jungmin is back” Chou said as Ryo stop eating and looked at her.

“What?”

“I’m serious. He’s back and this time, he’s back looking for Riyo” Chou said as she looked at Ryo with a serious look.

Lillian and Aya walked into a noodle shop as they sat down to order,

“Finally that inspector let us go home to sleep!” Lillian said as Aya places their order,

“You know, what Hiro said before about Jin, now I think it might be true. He seems…”

“Arrogant?” Lillian asked as she took a snip of water from the glass.

“Yeah…you noticed, when Jungmin out beat him in thinking his face…change color?” Aya asked.

“More like his face structure changed” Lillian said as the waiter place two bowls of noodles in front of them.

“Itadakimasu” both of them said as they begin to eat.

Halfway through their meal, the same waiter came up to them,

“Excuse me but I hope you two don’t mind if we add another customer to your table, most of our table is full”

“Ah its okay we don’t mind” Aya said as they continue to eat.

The waiter showed the customer to his seat as he order the food,

“Can I have a bowl of ramen with extra beef and vegetables?”

Lillian stops eating and look up at the figure sitting in front of her.

“OMG ITS YOU AGAIN!” Lillian yelled at the figure in front of her who glared at her.

“Why everywhere I go I see you?” Hong Ki asked as Lillian wipes her mouth,

“I’m the one that was suppose to say that not you!”

“Oh shut up and eat your dang ramen and leave me alone, I’m not here to argue with you, just to eat in peace” Hong Ki said as the waiter place his bowl of ramen in front of him, “itadakimasu”

Hong Ki begins to slurp down his ramen as Lillian glare at him,

“Can you like eat quietly?”

“Uhhhhhh no. You don’t own this area so you have no rights to tell me what to do beside you’re off duty and to my knowledge of the law, there is nothing against me slurping my ramen” Hong Ki said proudly as he slurps his ramen as Lillian glare at him.

“Lillian, just let it go. Beside we’re about to be done anyways” Aya said as Lillian went back to eating her ramen but instead made a loud slurping noise to annoyed Hong Ki.

“You’re looking for a challenge huh?”

“It’s not polite to eat and talk the same time” Lillian said as she eat her ramen.

Soon both of them begin making loud slurping noises as Aya tried to hide her face. The customers stare at them like they were some crazy manic slurping their ramen. When they were both down, they shot up their hands in the air,

“ANOTHER BOWL OF BEEF RAMEN PLEASE!!”

“Okay, two bowl of beef ramen coming up!” the waiter yelled as Hong Ki and Lillian just glare at each other.

As their bowl came they grab it and dig into it as if they never ate ramen in their life before. As they both came to the end, they shot their hands up again,

“CHECK PLEASE! HEY STOP COPYING WHAT I’M SAYING !” they yelled at each other as the waiter came to bring them the checks.

After paying they both ran outside and yelled for a taxi as a taxi pulled over they pushed each other out of the way to get in. Hong Ki got near the door when Lillian yank him back as she tries to get in, Hong Ki pulled her by her ponytail back as he tries to get in but a limousine rolled up in back of the taxi and a guy walked out from the car,

“Isn’t that the heir to the Kim’s industry? Kim Yesung?” Aya asked as Yesung approach Hong Ki,

“I have been looking for you for a while.” Yesung said as Hong Ki looked away.

“Does he owe you money? If he does, just beat him up” Lillian said with a smirk.

“I was meant to ask you that question…” Yesung said as Lillian looked confused.

“It’s none of your business if I owe people money, I pay them back” Hong Ki yelled.

“I went to your place and the landlord said you have not come back for a week. It’s lucky somebody told me you were here or else I will lose you again” Yesung said as Hong Ki glare at him.

“Do you think he’s gay?” Aya asked in a whisper tone to Lillian.

“Somehow I sorta feel that too since the atmosphere change…” Lillian replied slowly.

“I’m NOT GAY!” Yesung yelled as the two girls jumped.

“Why in the world would you spend your precious time stalking me? We have nothing to do with each other. You go you’re way and I go my way.” Hong Ki said.

“Dad wants to talk to you”

“But I don’t want to talk to him, if I remember correctly; my last name is Lee not a Kim so tell him to shove it” Hong Ki yelled as he pulled out his cellphone and text somebody and closed it up.

“Hong Ki…dad just want to make it up to you”

“Yeah he had that chance 21 years ago but he didn’t so tell him to leave me alone! And you! Stop sending people to stalk me and look up my information and bribe those people to let me work for them because I don’t need any of your pity!” Hong Ki yelled leaving into the taxi and it drove off.

“THAT WAS PURE RUDE! THAT WAS OUR TAXI!!” Lillian yelled from distance as Yesung pulled out his business card and hand it to the two girls,

“If you do see him, please contact me. I really need to talk to him” Yesung said as he pulled over a taxi for them and handed the taxi driver some cash, “I already paid the fare for you two as in sorry for my little brother taking your taxi” Yesung said.

“YOUR LITTLE BROTHER?!?!” Lillian and Aya yelled out loud looking at Yesung.

“Yeah he’s my little brother; anyways I have to go to a business dinner. Thank you for everything” Yesung said bowing and got into the limousine and it drove off.

“That little runt is rich?!?” Lillian asked in a shocking expression as Aya look back at her with the same expression.

The red light in the operation room turn off as the surgery in charge of the operation walked out,

“How are both of them?” Kaiyo asked the doctor who gave them a smile.

“They are both fine, the aesthesia will be over within an hour or so, so you can visit them then” the doctor said as he left.

Kaiyo looked at her watch and went up to Sister Angela,

“Sister, I have to run an important errand, I will be back in an hour…I also want to discuss about taking Ryosuke home with me” Kaiyo said as the Sister gave her a smile and a hug.

“Okay, take care”

Kaiyo then left taking the car to the airport. As she arrived, she look at the flight number board and notice the plane landed just a few minutes ago, so she ran to the terminal. She looked around trying to find the person Hideaki mention but found nobody.

“You must be Kaiyo?” a voice from behind spoke.

Kaiyo turn around facing a young male around his late 20’s, his face was pale with short brown hair. He took off his sun glasses as she stares into his cold brown eyes.

“You must be one of Hideaki friends I assume?” Kaiyo asked as he gave her a light smile.

“Kim Hyun Joong, I believed you work with my partner before, his name is Kim Kyu Jong” he said as Kaiyo remembered.

“Oh yeah…how is he doing?”

“He’s doing a mission in China, probably meet up with me a few days later here” Hyun Joong said as Kaiyo nodded silently.

“Well I guess Hideaki told you where you’re going to be staying, I’m going to take you there and go back to the hospital” Kaiyo said.

“Sure” he said as he followed her out of the airport to the car.

In the car both of them were silence when the street lights turn red, Kaiyo stopped and took a quick glance at the stranger next to her. For some reason she felt as if she seen him somewhere before.

Hyun Joong then look over at Kaiyo as she looked back to the traffic light and a small smile appeared on his lips and soon the light turn green as Kaiyo speed off.

Hong Ki ran into his apartment and begins throwing his clothes into his luggage. He grabs whatever he had left and made sure nothing important was left behind. He ran downstairs and noticed the landlord.

“Hi, I’m here to return the apartment I rented last 2 weeks ago” Hong Ki said handing her the keys.

“But you paid for a full month”

“That’s okay; I have to move to another place since its…closer to my new job. Sorry about it. You don’t have to worry about refunding anything. If anybody comes here to ask for me again, just say you don’t know.” Hong Ki said.

“Is that all you have? No furniture or anything to be moved?” she asked.

“When I moved in I didn’t buy any of those. I’m moving to a friend’s house so I don’t need that stuff. Anyways… I have to go now, bye!” Hong Ki said as he grabs two of his luggage and his backpack running out the door.

He stood there for another 5 minutes as a car pulled up to him,

“I got your message, what happen?” Ryo asked as Hong Ki threw his luggage into the backseat and got into the passenger side.

“He found me so I have to move again”

“You do know how rich and powerful the Kim’s family is. No matter where you go, they can hunt you down.” Ryo said driving off.

“Exactly, so this time I decided to move in with you” Hong Ki said as Ryo choke on his water that he was drinking from the cup.

“WHAT?!?”

“Pleaseeeeee”

“Dude, my place is off limits. Its only one room and a bookroom, I cannot fit you in” Ryo said as he noticed Hong Ki making a puppy face looking at him. “Dude stop that, you’re creeping me out with that look. I’m not a girl so it won’t work on me, beside I move in with Kaiyo and the girls since their place is closer to work and her place is big.”

“Maybe I can move in that place too…” Hong Ki said looking at Ryo who just ignore him.

“I don’t know…3 girls and 2 guys…awkward?” Ryo asked.

“I promise I won’t do anything. Beside if I move in with them, Yesung will never find me. Pleaseeeeeee beside I know Kaiyo neechan since I was a kid too she probably let me pleaseee just calllllll.” Hong Ki begs as Ryo pulled out his cellphone and put on his blue tooth and dial a number.

“Hello?”

“Kaiyo? Where are you at?”

“Driving why?”

“Can we go out for coffee?”

“You’re up to something aren’t you or you want something from me” Kaiyo said as Ryo just let out a small chuckle.

“Hehe yeah so can we meet up at the ice cream parlor down a few blocks from your café shop?” Ryo asked.

“Fine, I will be there in 10 minutes” Kaiyo said as she hangs up.

“Thank you!!!” Hong Ki said as he was about to hug Ryo who tries to control the steering wheel and tries to push Hong Ki away from him.

About 10 minutes later, Kaiyo and Hyun Joong arrive at the ice cream parlor,

“Sorry about this, I want to handle some personal business first if you don’t mind” Kaiyo said as Hyun Joong nodded his head.

They walked in as Ryo waved to them from a few tables down.

“I’m going to go get something to eat.” Hyun Joong said leaving her as she walks over to where Ryo and Hong Ki table as she sat down she look at them.

“Please don’t tell me you’re gay” Kaiyo said as Ryo gave her the wtf look.

“Hell no, I’m straight. Anyways… I need your help… well permission…I decided to move in with you and the other two girls…just that…”

“Just that?”

“Just that I want to bring a buddy along” Ryo said pointing to Hong Ki who looks up from his ice cream and wave at Kaiyo who look at him for a while.

“I have seen you somewhere before…” Kaiyo said as she stares at Hong Ki for a while, “You’re not Lee Hong Ki are you?” she asked.

“Yep that’s me! See she remembers me” Hong Ki said with a smile.

“Who can forget how you eat your ice cream” Kaiyo said pointing to the mess he made and the ice cream over his mouth. “And what’s up with your hair color?”

“New style” Hong Ki said as Kaiyo just smirk.

“Yeah sure…so you two want to move into my house…” Kaiyo said as they both nodded. “Fine but…you still have to pay rent”

“Fine with us” Ryo said as Hong Ki gave a thumb up.

“When are you moving in?” Kaiyo asked as Hyun Joong handed her a cup of ice cream.

“Can I move in today?” Hong Ki asked.

“Who’s that dude?” Ryo asked pointing to Hyun Joong.

“Sure and none of your business” Kaiyo said as Ryo look at her suspiciously. “If that’s all you wanted to ask me then I’m going to go” Kaiyo said as Ryo drag her aside leaving Hong Ki continuing eating his ice cream as Hyun Joong sat down.

“What now?”

“Chou said Jungmin is back”

“What?”

“I said Jungmin is back”

“Seriously?!” Kaiyo asked as Ryo nodded his head.

“Jungmin saw Riyo at the mall today.” Ryo said as Kaiyo took a bite from her ice cream.

“I should have not let them out…what should we do” Kaiyo mumble to herself.

“I don’t know…just pray they won’t meet up.” Ryo said as Kaiyo kept mumbling to herself. “So…are you and that dude hitting off?”

“What?”

“I SAID ARE YOU AND THAT DUDE HITTING OFF?!” Ryo said loudly as Kaiyo covered his mouth as the people in the ice cream parlor look at them. Hong Ki stops eating his ice cream and looked at them along with Hyun Joong.

“Why the hell did you yell that out for?!?”

“Because you asked ‘what’ and I repeated the question and you are having some hearing problems” Ryo said as Kaiyo smack his head.

“Now people will think I’m a slut”

“Are you sure?” Ryo asked as Kaiyo ignore him as she looks at her watch. “I’m going to go now; I see you and Hong Ki at home later. You and him will be sharing that room your staying in, I’m going to get you and him a bed later on” Kaiyo said as she left Ryo standing there giggling.

“And stop giggling” Kaiyo said pointing at him as he tries not to laugh. “Let’s go Hyun Joong and I see you at home later Hong Ki” as Hyun Joong got up and walk out the door as Hong Ki wave goodbye.

“So what’s that about?”

“Nothing just some crazy friends moving in” Kaiyo said as she starts the car and drove off.

“Should we get going now roommate?” Ryo asked as Hong Ki got up leaving the store.

“Hello?”

“Hey where are you at?”

“I just walk pass the bakery shop, I will be there in 5 minutes”

“Are you sure? With that speed you’re walking, probably tomorrow”

“How can you see me walking? You have those psyche powers?

“No, I’m across the street from you”

“I see you now, stay there I’m coming over”

Suddenly loud gun shots were heard, people screaming running as far as they can. And there lies two bodies cover in blood, lying motionless.

“Riyo? Riyo?”

Riyo opens her eyes slowly as she sat up on her bed.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah I’m fine…why?” Riyo asked.

“You’re face is pale, and I heard some noises in here so I came by to see if everything is okay…”

“Yeah I’m fine, just tired. Why are you so dress up?” Riyo asked as she got up and walk to the bathroom.

“Oh I wanted to go out for a walk to clear up my mind…maybe I shouldn’t go” Chou said looking at Riyo who was still pale.

“No go ahead, I just had a nightmare that’s all I will be fine.” Riyo said pushing Chou out the room.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I’m sure now go.” Riyo said closing the door

Soon a loud door shut downstairs was heard as Riyo just stood in her room for a few minutes. She then walks back into the bathroom and splash water onto her face. She stares at herself in the mirror and her hand move up to her shirt as she pulled down the corner revealing a scar. A tear roll down her cheek as she wipe it away. She closes her eyes falling down to the ground; she let out a loud scream
