Chapter 9

Kaiyo looked away from the telescopic sight. She took off her gloves and wiped down the window and closed it. She took apart her sniper rifle and placed it back into the bag, she took off her jacket and threw it inside the bag and left the room.

She walks downstairs pretending nothing happen and got into the car throwing the bag behind the seat as Hideaki drove off.

“You’re skills are still good” Hideaki said as he drove pass the cops without paying them any mind.

“I been a sniper for at least 10 years what do you expect?” Kaiyo said with a smile.

“That’s my father on the ground you bastards! Let me go!” Adam yelled as the policemen hold him back as he tries to struggle to run off.

“Cover every ground and building and if there is any suspicious person, hold back for questioning!” Jin yelled as they all split up.

“Do you think they will ever figure out what really happen?” Kaiyo asked as Hideaki look out the window while waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

“Come on Kaiyo, do I really need to answer that question?” Hideaki asked as Kaiyo just nodded away.

“I seriously felt my skills are lacking now and days” Kaiyo said looking at her hand

“You didn’t do it for a while but you did a great job back there. That’s why you’re my best sniper to do the job” Hideaki said as he speeds off leaving the scene.

“PARK JUNG MIN!!!” a voice yelled from distance as the figure turn around seeing a guy running toward him full speed. Jungmin moved out the way and the guy slam into the wall in front of him.

“That is pure rude to do that” Hiro fussed as Jungmin let out a small chuckled.

“Same old Hiro, dude you need to stop running toward me for hugs. You know I don’t like hugging guys.” Jungmin said as Hiro rubs his forehead.

“Yeah, yeah and you only hug girls blah, blah, blah. I just wanted a hug since we have not seen each other for almost 2 years already!” Hiro said as Jungmin grab his luggage.

“Even though we have not seen each other 2 years I do not authorize you to hug me” Jungmin said as Hiro helped him with the bags.

Then Hiro’s phone beeps as he picks it up,

“Hello?”

“Yah! Where are you!?!” Lillian yelled over the phone

“At the airport picking up a friend what’s all the yelling and commotion?” Hiro asked.

“The witness for the Adam Sinji woke up, we went to get the court order and Jin went with the others to go pick him up.” Lillian said.

“And what do you need to call me for?” Hiro asked

“I wouldn’t call you if it wasn’t an emergency you idiot, somebody murder Sinji Seido right when we got his son handcuff” Lillian yelled as Hiro moved the phone away from his ears.

“Sheesh don’t need to yell I’m not deaf yet!” Hiro yelled back

“Jin wants you to come back and help us deal with this case and he seriously means it” Lillian said hanging up before Hiro got a chance to say anything.

“Sorry buddy, I have to report back to the station.” Hiro said

“Sinji Seido got murdered?” Jungmin asked as Hiro nodded.

“Yeah we were working on the case about his son who rape and murder 2 women and seriously injured another. Witness woke up and we went to get him but the father got murder right in front of the police. So more work for me” Hiro said.

“How about I go with you? I did work on Sinji Seido case before I left so I can help out a bit. Beside it has been a while I seen those guys at the station” Jungmin said as Hiro smiled.

“That’s so awesome; you can so teach that new inspector of ours how to do work.” Hiro said as he walks with Jungmin out the airport.

“Is he that really bad as you said over the phone or you just dislikes him?” Jungmin asked

“Both” Hiro said with a smile throwing the luggage into the trunk. “By the way, welcome back to Japan” Hiro said getting into the driver’s seat.

“Yeah…welcome back” Jungmin mumbled as he got into the passenger seat.

Riyo was flipping the channel until she stops at the news channel,

“Today at 4:15pm the famous Sinji Seido got murdered. Police came to place charges on his son, Adam Sinji for the rape and murder case of two young women along with doing serious injured to another women whom is one of the witness in the case. There is no release information on what happen, but from the look of the scene, Mr. Sinji Seido got murdered most likely, assassin.” The reporter said as Riyo eyes budge out.

“Riyo, I’m going to go shopping now!” Chou said as she was about to head out the door when Riyo stop her.

“It’s not a very good time to run around now. They just release the news that Sinji Seido got murdered and it was at least 30 minutes after our departure. We need to wait till everything cool down before going out” Riyo said in a strict tone.

“Awww but the new Gucci bags are coming out today and I wanted to go get it!” Chou mumbles as she retreat back into the house

“Gucci bag can wait, we cannot risk doing anything until it settle down” Riyo said as Chou stomp upstairs.

“And pick up those feet young lady! The house isn’t paying for itself!” Riyo yelled.

“YOU’RE NOT KAIYO SO DON’T ACT LIKE HER!” Chou yelled as Riyo let out a sigh and look back at the tv.

“Why do we have to face this dilemma now?” Riyo asked to herself as she sat back down on the couch to continue to watch the news.

Hiro ran into the room banging into random desks trying to gasp for air, “Did I miss anything?” he asked trying to get some air into his lung

“Uh…beside the murder then no” Aya said as Hiro sat down fanning himself.

“So where did you really go?” Keiichiro asked as he handed Hiro a cup of water.

“To pick up a friend who is right behind you” Hiro said pointing to the door as Jungmin wave hello to the people inside the room.

“No way! It’s Jungmin!!” Lillian yelled as she and Aya ran to give him a hug.

“Nice to meet you girls again, and Keiichiro, looking nice in that new jacket” Jungmin said as Keiichiro gave him a hug

“Nice to see you again, how have you been?” Keiichiro asked as Jungmin waver his hand in mid-air.

“That is SOOO UNFAIR! You let Keiichiro hug you but not me!” Hiro fussed as the girls laugh at his expression

“How’s Korea?” Aya asked.

“Eh not the same as over here but manageable” Jungmin replied as Jin, Hayami, and Erika walk in.

“Jungmin?!?” Hayami and Erika said out loud as Jin looked at the guy they pointed at.

“Yo!” Jungmin said as they each gave him a hug.

“Even Hayami gets to hug you!” Hiro yelled.

“Sheesh you don’t need to yell, we all know you’re gay” Lillian said covering her ears as she knows Hiro will begin screaming and yelling he’s not gay.

“Hi, I’m Park Jungmin, and you must be Akanishi Jin.” Jungmin said as he shook Jin’s hand.

“Nice to meet you. I heard a lot of good things about you” Jin said as Jungmin shrug.

Soon their supervisor came in, “Jungmin? Why are you here? Aren’t you suppose to be working in Korea?” he asked

“I’m on vacation and decided to by and visit you guys. Also I heard that Sinji Seido got murdered and before I left, I work on his case so I might know some stuff that can help out” Jungmin replied as the supervisor nodded his head.

“Okay then, welcome back! Anyways any new leads yet?”

“From what I observe, Sinji Seido can be assassinated. The bullet that lodged in his head came from either a sniper or a close range gun” Jin replied.

“You seem to know a lot in this area” Hayami said.

“When I used to work in the FBI, I dealt with these types of cases so its good to memorize the type of bullet and range use to shoot.” Jin said as the other nod their head.

“Jungmin before you left you work on a case that related to Sinji Seido do you think his death is related to it?” the supervisor asked as Jungmin flip through the folder.

“Maybe. He was involved in many illegal things mostly drugs and dirty money. Many people want him dead but from what I’m reading so far, maybe the killer killed him due to the fact that his son rape and murder two daughters of a famous millionaire.” Jungmin said holding up the photos of two young girls.

“That’s a good lead there, good job Jungmin. Jin get somebody on that line” the supervisor said as Jin nod his head as he look at Jungmin who was looking at the photos

“Well I have to head to a meeting, good luck and if there is anything important call me bye!” he said leaving the room.

“Wow Jungmin still as sharp as before” Hayami said giving him thumbs up as Jungmin just smiled.

“So why are you back in Japan anyways?” Aya asked.

“Just visiting that’s all” Jungmin replied as he sat down on Hiro’s chair.

“That is rude” Hiro said as Jungmin spin around.

“Anyways, Hayami and Aya you two come with me to question the father of those two girls. The rest of you follow up on Adam’s case.” Jin said leaving the room with the other two.

“See I told you, he’s not as smart as you and very cocky” Hiro said as he found another chair.

“He’s personality is just different. He did get raise in the states so it’s different from us” Jungmin replied as he type something in the computer.

“So did you really come back to Japan just to visit or for another reason?” Hiro asked.

“Visit that’s all” Jungmin replied without taking his eyes off the computer

“Or maybe you’re still looking for her?” Hiro asked as Jungmin stop what he was doing and look at Hiro.

“Ah I got it right then, you’re still looking for her. Dude she has been missing two years. All you found next to you was a puddle of blood; there are chances that she might not even be alive.” Hiro said as Jungmin look at him with a cold stare.

“Until her body is found, I won’t give up” Jungmin said as he got up quickly and went out the room.

“Dude, you seriously need to learn to shut up, you know he’s sensitive when it comes to talking about her” Lillian said as she punches Hiro who held his hand in pain.

“But what Hiro said is right though, 2 years no sign of her, a puddle of blood next to his body…that can only mean one thing” Erika said as Hiro nodded his head.

“We’re not him so we can’t force him to think like us, just let him take time to suck it in” Lillian said as Hiro nod his head again.

Jungmin was in the coffee room looking into the cup of coffee as a tear rolled down his cheeks,

“Whatever they say is not true, I know you’re still alive. Still out there somewhere” Jungmin whispered

“Hey Hideaki, can you drop me off at that corner right there? I need to buy some stuff” Kaiyo said as Hideaki parked at the corner.

“Do you want me to wait?”

“Nah its okay, anyways thanks and bye!” Kaiyo said as she got off and ran around the corner.

She took a peek and waited to Hideaki’s car drove off as she waved for a taxi coming by. She got on and told the driver where her destination was at. When the taxi took off, Hideaki’s car appeared around the corner and tailgate behind it from distance.

Kaiyo got off at the hospital and went inside as Hideaki parked the car in the parking lot and walk behind her,

“Why is she here?” he wondered as he noticed she walk into the elevator. He watches the elevator go up at a certain floor and decided to take the stairs.
He made it to the floor where Kaiyo got off as he hides behind the corner waiting for her to enter the room. He then walk near the window to see who was inside and he then move to the door to listen what she was saying.

Kaiyo walk into the room as she sat down next to the hospital bed. She looks at the young boy hook up to a machine to help him breathe. She reaches over and moves his hair off his face as she look at him,

“I’m sorry Ryosuke, neechan cannot help ease your pain” Kaiyo whispered as she stare at her younger brother laying there.

After 20 minutes, she finally got up and walks out the room. Hideaki then walk into the room to take a look at a young boy lying on the bed as Sister Angela walks in.

“Hi, you are?”

“Oh I’m sorry, I’m one of Kaiyo’s friends, Hideaki” Hideaki said as he shook the Sister’s hand.

“Nice to meet you, did Kaiyo dropped by?” she asked as Hideaki nodded his head.

“Ah I must miss her then. If you do see her, tell her I said hi.” She said with a smile.

“Sister, I want to ask you a question…who is this young boy?” he asked.

“Oh his name is Ryosuke, Kaiyo’s younger” replied.

“Younger brother? I never heard she mention she had one” Hideaki said as he look at the young boy.

“They’re not blood related, but when her father remarried the new wife brought along young Ryosuke who was barely a baby at that time and Kaiyo was only 13. When their parent’s died in a car accident, Kaiyo was barely 16 and she had to take care of him. He then was diagnosed with leukemia, and she had to work to pay off his medical bills but she couldn’t concentrate on taking care of him and working, so she decided to drop him off at the church where we took care of him since he was 4. She usually would visit him but she stop when he turn 7 years old. She would usually drop by to see me to give me the money for his medical bills.” Sister Angela said as Hideaki nod his head slowly.

“So his illness turned worst, that is why he’s in here.” Hideaki said as the sister nod her head.

“I had to call her because the doctor needed to talk to her about his treatment along with the bill. The only thing we can wait for is a perfect bone marrow donor but so far we got nothing” the sister said.

“I see…well god will look out for him.” Hideaki said with a smile as the sister smile at him. “Will you excuse me; I have to run some errands, its nice meeting you” Hideaki said with a bow and left the room.

As he closes the door behind him, he took another look into the room, “So that is why she wanted a mission.” He said to himself as he noticed the doctor walk in to do his routine check up.

Two days after Sinji Seido death, the police had no lead. Everything seems to go back to normal…

“I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMOREEEEEEEEEEEE” Chou yelled out loud at the top of the stairs.

“For crying out loud you’re going to deaf somebody!” Ryo yelled back as Chou stomp downstairs.

“I got fresh cash in my purse in which I’m not allowed to use because some guy is dead” Chou yelled as Ryo stuck an apple in her mouth.

“The police were out searching for the two convict that scam him. That is the reason why we didn’t let you out. If a cashier saw you holding a wad of cash of course they will call the police” Riyo said as she ate a piece of orange.

“Do I really need to stay home from work too? It has been two days I have not seen Yesung who knows what that sunny girl might have done to him” Chou mumbled as she sat down on the chair and ate the apple.

“So far the police gave up searching for the two conmen *looking at Chou and Riyo* and focus more on the death and who was the one that assign those killers to kill him” Ryo said.

“So you’re saying that there is really professional killers out there?!?” Chou asked with her eyes open wide.

“Yeah why?”

“I might as well hire one to kill Sunny” Chou said with a smile as Ryo smack her with a pillow.

“Too dangerous, beside didn’t you want to prove to him you’re a better choice than her?” Ryo asked as Chou begins to go into thinking mode.

“Anyways, I think it’s safe for you guys to go out now since the police radar dial down” Kaiyo said coming downstairs.

“Whoa neechan what happen to you?” Ryo asked as Kaiyo sat down on the couch

“Didn’t sleep well for the pass two nights that’s all” Kaiyo said fixing her hair.

“You need to go see a doctor then O.O” Chou said as Kaiyo smack her from behind her head with the pillow.

“PEOPLE I’M GOING TO LOSE MY MEMORIES IF YOU KEEP ON SMACKING ME LIKE THAT!” she yelled.

“Just when you guys go shopping, Riyo stay close to Chou and don’t over buy things or else people will get suspicious” Kaiyo said as she got up to the kitchen.

“Yay finally I can shop for new clothes and out beat that Sunny girl!” Chou said running upstairs.

“Just be careful” Ryo said as Riyo nodded her head.

“I swear, you always run off every time I turn around” Riyo said as Chou walked out from a clothing store. “And how much did you spend already?!?!”

“Uh…well…I got a coach purse, brand new for this season, some new outfits for work, shoes…a new watch… not yet a thousand” Chou said holding up her bags as Riyo smack her hand on her face. “And you what did you buy?”

“Well nothing caught my eyes yet and do not try to run off again you brought enough” Riyo said trying to pull Chou back from going into the next store.

“Fine…let’s go eat then I’m hungry” Chou said with a smile as they head toward the food court as Riyo’s phone rang,

“Hello?”

“Hey Riyo, it’s me Jin”

“I can see that on the id so how are you doing? Didn’t hear from you in a while” Riyo said as she order some food and sat down while Chou went through her bags.

“Oh I been busy with a new case which is giving me a headache, other than that I’m doing quite fine. How about you?” Jin asked

“Doing good, just shopping with a friend now.” Riyo said as Chou went up to get the food and sat back down to eat.

“That seems fun…anyways I was wondering are you free tomorrow night? We can go catch a movie or something” Jin said.

“Sure, I’m free tomorrow.”

“Great then it’s a date” Jin said, “Hey I got to go now, I have some more work to do” Jin said.

“Okay take care bye”

“K, I see you tomorrow night” Jin said hanging up.

“Somebody got a dateeeeeeee” Chou said as she ate her burger.

“And you don’t” Riyo said with a smile as Chou threw a napkin at her.

“Hurry up and eat, I want to go look around some more. I saw this really cute outfit that is great for working people like me” Chou said as she pushes the burger toward Riyo’s mouth

“Okay Hiro, I know where I’m going. I lived in this city longer than you, so I know my way around. Yes I got to the mall safety. Can you please stop calling me? You’re not my wife” Jungmin said over the phone as Hiro yelled at him. “Okay I bring you some food later so stop yelling. I’m going to hang up now bye” Jungmin said as he closes his cellphone.

He begins to wonder around the mall looking at different items till a certain item caught his eyes.

Voices begins to echo in his head,

“You know what you can get me for a present?”

“What?”

“That doll right there”

“That is one scary doll”

“Its not scary, it’s really adorable though there is a specific one I’m looking for.”

“Those dolls have a collection?”

“Yep, each one has different meaning, but the one I’m looking for is called triangel.”

“The name already sound funny”

“It symbolizes as the guardian angel of love. It is said if one person find it, they are destined to be with each other and that doll will protect the love between them”

“Looks like I have to try hard to find that doll then”

“Then try harder!”

Jungmin shook his head as he look at the doll in the store. He walks into the store and looks around and walks up to she cashier,

“Excuse, is that doll on the window display the triangel doll?”

“Why yes. We just got it imported from Italy. Every since Hong Kong aired that drama, Triumph in the Skies every girl wants those type of dolls.” She said with a smile.

“Ah I saw that drama, good storyline and they did a good job on presenting the doll. Anyways could I get the doll?”

“You’re really lucky because this is the last one I have. Are you buying it for your girlfriend?” she asked with a smile as she walks over to the window to get the doll.

“You can say that” he said with a smile as she places the doll in the box. He took a look at it and smile and handed his credit card to the cashier.

After he was done he walks out as he placed the box back in the bag. “I just hope whatever story is told with this doll is true” he whispered when his cellphone rang

“Hiro stop calling”

“Just checking up on my buddy” Hiro said on the other line.

“I’m fine, I’m heading home now. I drop by to give you your lunch sheesh” Jungmin said.

“Yah Riyo, hurry up or else that person will get the last outfit!” Chou yelled from distance as Riyo tries to catch up.

“Sheesh other stores will carry it too, stop running!” Riyo yelled.

Jungmin then pulled the phone away from his ear when he heard the voice He took a look around where he was standing at but saw nothing. “Maybe I’m just hearing things” he whispered

“Chou, it’s getting late, we have to get home before Ryo and Kaiyo bite our heads off!” Riyo yelled from distance hoping Chou can stop running.

“Jungmin?” Hiro’s voice said over the phone

“I call you back” Jungmin said hanging up the phone as he scans through the crowd turning around in circle hoping to hear the voice again.

“Seriously, I’m tired let’s go home!” Riyo yelled as Chou ran back to where Riyo was. “Finally lets go” Riyo said trying to grab Chou hand but was having trouble with all the bags in her hand.

Jungmin then walk toward the center of the floor hoping to find what he was looking for across the mall he saw her.

“It can’t be” he whispered

“Riyo come on, just one more store” Chou said with a smile as Riyo nodded her head.

“Just one more” Riyo said as she took a look toward her right side and from distance she caught glimpse of him. Her whole body froze up standing still in disbelief.

“Riyo?”

“We have to get out of here now” Riyo said rapidly.

“Why? You said one more store”

“I’m seriously we have to get out of here before something happens” Riyo said as she ran while Chou took a glimpse at what she was looking at.

“OMG… wait up!” Chou yelled as they begin to run through the crowd hoping to lose Jungmin who was tailing behind them.

They ran down the escalator and out toward the street where they ran toward their car. They got in and speed off, Jungmin ran out the mall hoping to find them but all he saw was people passing beside him.

“I know it’s true, you’re still alive.” He whispered breathing heavily.

At home Ryo was reading a magazine while Kaiyo was making herself a cup of coffee when her cellphone rang,

“Hello?”

“Kaiyo, its Sister Angela”

“Did something happen?!?” Kaiyo asked as her voice trembled.

“Its good news, there is a matching donor for Ryosuke” she said as Kaiyo stood in shock,

“Really?”

“Yes, they are prepping both of them for surgery really soon, you should come down quickly” she said as Kaiyo hangs up

“Neechan something happen?”

“I have to run an errand I will be back soon” she said as Ryo tried to stop her but she ignores him. She grab her car keys and ran out the door a minute later she walk back in, “I need to change out of my pjs first” as Ryo stood there laughing like a manic.

Kaiyo then arrived at the hospital as she saw Sister Angela outside,

“Are they in surgery yet?”

“Not yet, they are getting ready, the donor is in room 405 down this hall. You should drop by and say hi and thank you” the sister said as Kaiyo nodded her head and walk down to the room.

She took a deep breath and knock,

“Come in”

She opens the door and her eyes bulge out as she stares at the person on the bed,

“Hi!” the figure said with a smile
