Chapter 8:

“LEE HONG KI WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THIS TIME?!?!” Lillian yelled out loud causing everybody in the police station to look at her.

Hong Ki eyes bulge out as he saw who yelled his name, “I gotta go”

He stood up and tried to run but Lillian pulled him by his shirt dragging him back to his seat.

“What is he here for?”

“Suspect was found standing near Mr. Tisushi car and he called the police reporting this man trying to steal the car” the policeman said handing Lillian the report.

“First getting beaten up outside the club due to money, now getting accuse of stealing a car, what is next on your list huh? Why not just go rob a bank or something!” Lillian yelled as she smacks Hong Ki on the head with the folder as the policeman who was sitting there staring at them with his eyes open wide.

“WTH is wrong with you?!” Hong Ki said trying to rub his head but couldn’t due to him being handcuff.

“I should ask you that question; I warn you the last time don’t ever let me see you but noooo you have to appear.” Lillian yelled as she glares at him.

“Do I look like I intend to come here?!?” Hong Ki asked showing her the handcuff.

“Madam, what do you want to do with him?” the policeman asked as Lillian look at Hong Ki who tapped his foot furiously on the floor.

“Since the charges aren’t drop, just put him in jail for 24 hours” Lillian replied as the policeman stood up and was about to drag Hong Ki off when a voice from behind stop them,

“Hey my lawyer isn’t here yet!” Hong Ki yelled trying to run off when the policeman drags him back.

“You hired a lawyer? Yeah right” the policeman said and was trying to drag him off when a man in a suit step into the police station

“I’m Lee Hong Ki lawyer; you have a problem with that?” Ryo asked as the policeman stop and look at who was talking to him

“And you are?”

“I’m his lawyer, Nishikido, Ryo” Ryo said handing them his business card, “Lee Hong Ki is my client and I’m here to bail him out” Ryo said as Hong Ki ran behind Ryo.

“Wait you’re the famous Ryo who won 100 cases in a row?!?” Lillian asked as Ryo just smile while Hong Ki made faces at Lillian.

“I believe my client is innocent till he’s proven guilty.” Ryo said as he looks at the policeman

“Mr. Tisushi is pressing charges so I can’t let him off” the policeman replied.

“If I were you I rethink that” Ryo said with a smirk as the phone rang, the policeman picked it up. He nodded a few times and hangs up and walks over to unlock the handcuff on Hong Ki.

“Hey Lillian, what’s taking so long?” Erika asked appearing behind Lillian.

“Nothing just some stuff” Lillian said as Hong Ki glare at her

“Hong Ki, go over there while I fill out some paper work” Ryo said as Hong Ki watches Ryo walk behind the policeman to do some paperwork.

“Hey how come that pervert is here?!” Erika asked.

“What pervert?” Lillian asked as Erika pointed to Ryo who was sitting at the policeman desk filling out some papers.

“You mean my lawyer Ryo Nishikido? You shouldn’t call people pervert if you don’t even know their name” Hong Ki scoff as Erika glare at him.

“He’s one of the top lawyers that many departments lost to in cases. We’re up against him in court next week” Lillian whisper to Erika who look at Ryo

“Seriously? He’s the undefeated lawyer that everybody is talking about? He looks scrawny how in the hell can he be that good?”

“Even though I’m scrawny, it’s all about the knowledge and work you put in” Ryo said appearing behind them causing them to jump

“Hey Erika, let’s get going shall we” Lillian said as she was about to drag Erika off

“Hey! Hey you better come back here and say sorry!” Hong Ki yelled.

“For what?”

“For smacking me” Hong Ki replied

“That smack was to wake you up. A person like you will never learn” Lillian replied.

“You’re not my mother you have no rights to make me learn anything” Hong Ki said as she walk up to him,

“What’s up with your hair now?”

“What about my hair?”

“First it was orange now it’s blonde. What are you trying to be Barbie? No wait, Lady Ga-Ga?” Lillian asked as Hong Ki glare at her.

“A new style and it’s none of your business.” Hong Ki said turning away.

“First you want to be an orangutan and now you want to be a walking, talking Barbie. Did you know, the more you dye your hair, your hair will fall out?” Lillian asked with a big smile on her face.

Hong Ki face suddenly change.

“Yeah well good luck in that department, maybe you should just dye it in every color so you don’t have to deal with it anymore” Lillian said laughing

“Hong Ki ready to go?” Ryo asked as Hong Ki stare at Lillian who was laughing with Erika.

“Yes let’s go” Hong Ki mumbled walking off as Ryo look at the other two girls,

“Nice to meet both of you and see you next week in court.” Ryo said walking off with a smirk.

“I hope we win so I can wipe that smirk off his face” Erika said as Lillian drags her away.

While looking at the night sky, a cup of hot coffee was place in front of her face,

“Thanks” Riyo said as she held the cup as Jin stood next to her.

“I have to say this is the most fun I had ever since coming here” Jin said as they sat down at the bench walking people walking by.

“Yeah been a while I went out with a guy” Riyo replied as she took a sip of her coffee. “So tell me more about yourself”

“Well…I was born in Japan but move to America. I study to be a law enforcer, got into the FBI and transfer here” Jin said, “How about you?”

“Well I was born here and still lives here, right now I’m just working at the café place with my friend” Riyo replied.

“So that means I can get discount right?” Jin asked with a laugh as Riyo just laugh

“Well I’m not sure…I have to ask my friend on that, she’s pretty strict on giving discount”

“Is that friend the one my friend been crushing on?” Jin asked.

“I guess…how is he taking it?” Riyo asked

“He beat up a copy machine today and also broke a few pencils and pen other then that I guess he’s doing fine” Jin said with a smile.

“Hey you want to go back in the festival? I still want to win that stuff animal” Riyo said as both of them got up and begin to head back to the festival as they were about to cross the street, a car speed by and was heading toward Riyo who was near it.

Jin grabs her back quickly before the car head straight into her. It speeds by them as Jin held Riyo close to his body. Their body was close together, as he held her tightly; she felt the warmth that she never felt before.

They stay liked that for a few more seconds until Riyo move out from his arms,

“Thanks for saving me. Gosh I feel like an idiot for not paying attention when I cross the street” she said as Jin look at her, “Jin?”

“Oh sorry, it’s not your fault, that person who was driving shouldn’t be speeding around this area like that. But you are okay right?” Jin asked as Riyo nodded.

“I’m fine, how about you? You seem a bit more daze off than me” Riyo replied.

“I’m fine, don’t worry, we should head back to the festival before it closes if you want to win that stuff animal after the 50th try” Jin said as Riyo smack him on the arm.

“This time I’m going to win” she said as she ran before him.

Jin who was behind her watches her run off, an image flash in his mind and disappear, “They are two different people not the same but how come its feels like its her..” he shook his head and ran after Riyo.

At home Chou sat in her room drawing little plans, she crumble up a sheet of paper and threw it into the wastebasket.

“Man, I need a break from all these plans.” Chou mumbles as she got up and walks downstairs to see Kaiyo flipping her phone and closing it.

“Hey Kaiyo, what are you doing up so late?”

“Nothing just couldn’t sleep, how about you?”

“Me? Um… I need a break from plotting something so yeah…is there any late snacks to eat?”

“I think we have leftover dessert from our dinner in the fridge” Kaiyo replied as Chou skipped off and return with the big bowl of pudding, “I didn’t say eat it all”

“I’m hungry ^_^ so why are you flipping your phone like that?” Chou asked as Kaiyo place it on the table.

“Nothing just thinking”

Chou snatches the phone and ran down the list, “So you called Hideaki kun…why?”

“Nothing major…” Kaiyo said slowly

“Really? You know every since he appear you two have been acting really, really strange” Chou said eating the pudding.

“You’re just over thinking. There is nothing going on between me and him” Kaiyo said as she snatches her phone back.

“Oh really? I sense something is wrong between you two. You either avoid him or he stares at you too much” Chou said, “if there isn’t anything going on you can tell me you know. Its not like you slept with him or something”

Kaiyo look at Chou for a while and got up, “I’m going to bed. Goodnight”

Kaiyo then walk upstairs and slam the door to her room as Chou jumped a bit,

“Was it something I said?” Chou asked to herself as she saw lights in the driveway. She stood up and took a peek out the window to see who it was.

“I had a great time tonight.” Jin replied

“Yeah me too. Thanks for the teddy bear” Riyo said as she grabs it from the back seat.

“I felt bad for you after your 100th tried” Jin said as Riyo smack him.

“Well good night; if you want to hang out some other time, give me a call” Riyo said as she tries to unbuckle the seat belt but it got stuck.

“Here let me help” as Jin move over trying to help. When he finally got it to open he move up and their face was inches away from each other.

They stare into each other eyes and their face move slowly toward each other when they heard a sound coming from the house. Riyo broke eye contact to see what it was as Jin move back to his chair.

“Okay I see you later then goodnight!” Riyo said as she got out of the car and close the door. She ran inside the house as Jin put the car into reverse.

“I should not have done that” he mumbles driving away.

Riyo ran upstairs and close the door, “omg what happen…that did not just happen” Riyo mumble holding onto her cheek.

Chou open the door and jump onto the bed, “soooooo how was it?”

“Was what?”

“You know…the festival…the ride…the hot guy and the staring into each other eye moment” Chou said excitedly as Riyo rolled her eyes.

“So it was you who was peeking out the window”

“I wasn’t peeking, I was observing…so tell!”

“Nothing happen, we hang out and my belt got stuck we just look at each other for a moment. You make it sound like I slept with him or something” Riyo replied as she took off her jacket.

“Yeah and your faces were moving closer. I seen it and I know you were about to kiss him!” Chou said as Riyo went into the bathroom

“It didn’t last that long so don’t go so excited beside we just barely hang out with each other” Riyo replied as Chou took a peek into the bathroom,

“Really so why is your cheek red?” she asked with a smile.

“Its hot, I have to go to bed good night. Go to sleep early, we have to finish that mission tomorrow” Riyo said pushing Chou out the door and before she can say another word, the door slam shut in front of her.

“Why is everybody slamming their door today? Sheesh!” Chou mumbles as she walks into her room and slams the door.

Riyo jump into her bed as she stare at the giant teddy bear next to her and smile. Her cellphone beep and she reaches over and open it,

‘I had a great time tonight; let’s hang out soon – Jin’

She smiles as she accidentally pushes the next button and that message pop up again. She has not even thought about it the whole night until now, she close her phone and dig her face into the teddy bear hoping it wasn’t true.

The next morning…

Kaiyo was in the kitchen making breakfast as she was talking to the person next to her,

“So how was last night?” Kaiyo asked.

“Same old, always receiving cases in the middle of the night”

“GOOD MOR…” Chou stop as she noticed who else was in the kitchen. “You…why are you here to ruin my mornings again?” Chou asked as Ryo flash her a peace sign,

“Good morning and neechan wanted to give me something that’s why I’m here” Ryo said as he shook the keys.

“Kaiyo you seriously didn’t!”

“Didn’t what?”

“You gave him the keys to our place?!?! That means he can come in and out of here freely!” Chou yelled.

“Yeah…he comes here to help us with stuff so why not give him the keys. I’m sorta tired of hearing the door bell ring in the morning already” Kaiyo said as she place the food onto the table.

“He can come in here anytime he wants freely great just more problems I need in the morning” Chou mumble as Riyo walk downstairs,

“Good morning and good morning to you too Ryo” she said sitting down at the breakfast table,

“You seem really happy” Ryo said as Riyo smile,

“Of course, today is the last time I’m going to see that perverted man of course and a lot of money to go shopping again” Riyo said

“Oh yeah, remember Ryo our deal?”

“I still remember if you can keep your end of the deal” Ryo replied.

“Oh I will trust me” Chou said with a smile

As London and Cassie sat in the meeting room with Sinji Seido he handed them paperwork, they look through it and sign it as well as he did.

“I will be right back” he said as he got up leaving the room.

Chou got up and closes all the curtain and blind as Riyo got onto the computer and begin typing something on it. Then she opens all a few of his main account and begins to transfer it into her account.

After 10 minutes, she closes it all up and erases all the evidence. She went back to her seat as Chou reopens the blind and curtains as Sinji Seido walk in.

“Here is your copy and along with the amount we promise, 5 million” he said as he signal his people to open 3 cases filled with money.

“It’s nice working with you Mr. Sinji Seido. We will give this to our father. Hope we can meet again someday” London said with a smile as she and Cassie left the building

Ryo who dressed up as a driver open the door for them as they got in. He drove off and check if anybody was following them,

“So how was it?”

“Easy, we hacked into his password and got whatever we can before he came back”

“So how much do you think you got?” Ryo asked

“About… 50 million I guess” Riyo answer as she took off her wig.

“So Ryo I did my part in the deal, where is your part?” Chou asked as Ryo handed her the folder.

“What’s in that folder?” Riyo asked.

“Some useful information” Chou replied sitting back in her seat as she look through the folder.

“Mr. Seido!!” a man from behind yelled.

“What is it?” Sinji Seido asked placing the paperwork in the safe deposit behind his portrait.

“I just got a few phone calls from your banks saying somebody withdrew over 50 million from them!”

“WHAT?!?!”

“Also the people at the hospital inform me that the witness to your son’s murder case woke up and she remember what happen that night and saw what your son did”

“This cannot be happening now…” Sinji Seido mumble as he fell back into his chair.

“So Hideaki, when are we leaving?” Kaiyo asked as Hideaki look at his watch,

“Soon, are you ready?” Hideaki asked as Kaiyo look at him.

“Pretty much, I do hope my skills are still good as before” she said with a smile.

“Don’t worry you will do fine, I’m going to be standing by so don’t worry” Hideaki said with a smile, “looks like its time. Let’s get going”

Both of them grab their bags and left the car into a building.

“Jin! We got a phone call from the hospital that our witness just woke up and can give the statement” Aya said as Jin grab his jacket,

“Okay, Erika and Lillian, you 2 go get the court order, Keiichiro, Aya, Hayami and Hiro…wait where is Hiro?” Jin asked looking around,

“Oh he asked for half the day off to do some personal things. He turned in a paper and you approve it yesterday” Hayami said as Jin thought back.

“Oh okay never mind then, you three come with me to the hospital, Erika when you’re done come meet us at the hospital and call Hiro when you’re done. We need as much people as we can to nail this bastard” Jin said

“Crap I’m soooo late! Why did I have to stop and eat there and ask for that hot girl number! He’s going to kill me if he finds out I’m not there yet!” Hiro mumble as he ran through the airport looking for the right entrance

[Announcer: Flight 9405 from Seoul, Korea to Tokyo, Japan has just arrived, Please proceed to the luggage department to claim your baggage. Thank you for flying with Continental service.]

A figure walks into the airport and look around but saw nobody there.

The figure then look out the window and took off the pair of sunglass placing it in the jacket, “I do miss Japan a lot and where is that guy anyways. He was suppose to be here 10 minutes ago” the figure mumble pulling out the phone and begin to dial a number until a loud voice distance can be heard,

“PARK JUNG MIN!!”

Sinji Seido along with his son and a few men begin to walk out from the building as they threw some stuff into the trunk.

“Listen here, you have to escape and never come back until this case is done with. I cannot help you any further” Sinji Seido said as his son nod his head

But soon police cars surrounded them as Jin and his subordinate came out facing the Sinji’s.

“Mr. Adam Sinji, you’re under arrest for the rape and murder of two young women name Akiko and Hana along with seriously injuring a young woman name Mika.” Jin said as Keiichiro handcuff the son as Sinji tried to push them out of the way.

From the building across a window was open and Kaiyo was looking at the scene at the bottom, then went back in,

“I got him in focus Hideaki” Kaiyo said to the phone

“Great, I’m down here and got everything set up, are you ready?”

“I am”

“Then let’s do it” Hideaki said as they hang up.

Keiichiro and Hayami then drag the son toward the car as he tries to run off,

“I SAY LET GO OF MY SON! YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS TO DO THAT!” Sinji Seido yelled as Jin and the other policeman tries to pull him back

Once they got him off, they were about to return to the cars when a loud shot was heard and everybody pulled out their gun, and try to find where the shot came from.

“OTOSAN!!!” Adam yelled as everybody turns their focus on the man that was lying dead on the floor with a shot in his head.

“Mission complete” Kaiyo whispered
